We all use Photoshop to create those "breathe taking" layouts everyone sees on Xanga. One day, I was planning on purchasing Adobe Photoshop CS thinking the price wouldn't pass $200. Well, when I visited the Adobe website, the price read $650 +!!! That was WAY beyond my budget. Sadly, I didn't purchased it so I got JASC PSP for only $200. How many of you guys actullay went and purchased the ACTUAL Adobe Photoshop program? Not the "bootleg" version, I mean the real $650+ version. Is it too expensive? Or does the price reflects the quality and features of the program?

PSP is only 100 bucks....

i think it works quite well, although i have never used photoshop.

i am, however, having trouble getting rid of the 'trial' part of the 'trial version' which means i loose it after 30 more days...

which, of course, sucks.

i hope i can reinstall it...

my computer cant support CS. damn this windows 98 hammer.gif

psp8 is down to $70, and can be lower with rebates and psp9 is still only $100 also

ive pretty much made my psp8 trial permenant, so long as no one resets the computers date. turing it back however killed my photoshop 7 trial, so i never even had a chance to learn to use it

I didn't buy cuz it is way too expensive. But I have to say, the CS version is very good. 7.0 is almost the same. I'm currently using 7.0. If anybody can find a place where i can download the full version of CS, please PM me. I have a ton of cracks...but no CS. >_<

$600 for it is actually not as expensive as you think. Most graphic design programs are way into the 1,000s and some even more (Maxon Cinema 4D - $700, and the studio bundle being $2995). Software isnt cheap to make and therefore not cheap to buy. You pay for what you get and you get one of the premier design programs there are. Although you are paying a little more the name thats how business is done. The name means everything and that raises the price. I personally get my copies for free because my grandpa is a graphic designer and he gets graphic programs from his firm all the time, but when he was just starting up he had to buy everything. This being the early age of computer before all the warez bull.

they have tones of good stuff there.

like poser.

whoa. all for really cheap.

3-d designing software... whoa.

once i'm in college, i'm going to get a job; build myself a computer capable of handiling these programs, and then buy them all.

minature pixar!

sweet... Solidworks CAD... 2000 bucks MSRP, 66 bucks student version

i need this...

I would never pay that much for a computer program.

I had an older version of PS before cause I got the disk from my cousin, but now I'm using CS.

yah i know, i was pretty suprised when i saw how expensive it was at amazon. It was only 580$ there. But i didn't want to download it from the internet. i dunno just seemed like the cheap version, but my mom payed a bundle for it, and just gave it to me for christmas. lol so i dunno if she actually payed the 600 or found it somewhere else cheap, cuz there are some places where you can get it for 200$ and this other site was offering it for under 100$ so i dunno

well photoshop is expencive because the people at adobe made it for webdesign students and industries that design stuff to use it and buy it. not for like 11 years old to try at "make" all the little swirly things. thats just my 2 cents
