I believe both theories of creation and evolution is extremely faulty because of the lack of evidence and the constant rebuttles between the two sides.

What do you think?

QUOTE(stryker76 @ Apr 1 2004, 10:58 PM)
........hmmmm well sorry no god is not there for us after we sin....jesus is...he forgives you for your sins......god...created the 10 commandments....he said that if we didnt follow the commandments we would go to hell....well jesus saw this and died for all those that have sined......Jesus forgives you not God.....god would send you to hell if it wasnt for jesus...and ya kno what the bad part is.....according to the bible...satan gives you the chance to redem your self with Jesus because you cant with god.....god doesnt give you a second chance.....Jesus does.....so yeah get your religon straight before hand...i have read the bible.....to a certian extent....so i kno most my stuff.....i still choice to not follow..practice...or embrace ne religion...until the day it is proven tru to me...that there is a higher being...and yes i kno....ignorance will win ad ppl with still say its all about faith.....well you hear about a lot of things that you may not now but you still may say no its a lie....but can you....religious ppl have faith meaning they will except a lie.....so how can you have faith for only religion and say you have faith....when you have faith you have faith in everything.....meaning even a lie....hmmm interesting..

Ok most of that is completely wrong. You obviously have not read the Bible to any meaningful extent, nor have you researched theology, especialy Christianity and its principles. I dont even know why im defending the christians but nobody else seems to be doing it. Ok Jesus IS God. He is God on Earth. Man can not live free from sin. It is in his nature. And because God is perfect, Man cannot be exposed to God while having sinned. In God's laws, if you have sinned, you will go to Hell. But since he is all forgiving and merciful, he sends down his son to die for everyones sins. SO if you believe that jesus has died for your sins then your sins will be cleansed.

When people have faith, they have faith in the fact that its NOT a lie. Do you have faith in gravity? You know scientists till this day can not prove gravity exists. Yet you still believe in it. Why?

Ummmm wrong.....gravity is proven....read Hyperspace by Michio Kaku.....Gravity can be proven mathmaticly.....also it can be felt and seen....so i dont have to have faith in it...because i can feel it when i work out.....the only place where gravity cant be shown mathmaticly is when placing it in an equation for Unity.....if there was a unifying theory for the universe...then everything could be proven wrong or right.....and if you want to get down to it.....there have been studies that show that "god" may be nothing but a voice in the 10th dimension...yes there are alternate dimensions...13 so far discovered....but that is a different topic.....if there is a god he is superficial.....and if he is in the 10th dimension....we cant see him because as 3 dimensional creatures we can not perseve nething that exsist in a higher dimension...only lower.......for example....a 2 dimensional creature would see a ball as a dot that grows then strinks as it pass threw the 2 dimensional plan.....so if there is a god....prove it then ill believe....hmmmmmm faith...i dont like the idea of it.....the idea that there is a more powerful being in control of everything that happens in my life...that i have no control over the out come of my life.....that sounds like slavery.....and if you want more on that....watch the matrix.....based on the same ideas.....just replace the machines with "god"...... oh and jesus is the son of god.....not god him self....i do kno that much.....and no i didnt study theology...im in a public school it would illegal.....Thank doG

ok, im not too clear. But im pretty sure Christians consider the 'son of God' as part of God. Its a very complicated idea, but technically hes still God. And i went to a public school also but I still made sure i understood enough about a religion before i start talking about it.

Yeah, see, when you spend 6 years of your early life in a Catholic school, you get to learn things that Jesus is God. If you read the bible like you said you did, you would know that.

i dont think jesus was created by god. atleast not literally. from what i know, the 'son of god' has always been with god.

The ones who believe in the existence of God, especially Christians, have written many long books, short articles, and everything else in between trying to prove God's existence to the doubters. They have used examples from nature; they have constructed logical arguments using scientific facts and theories and philosophical considerations. The nonbelievers have also written many books and articles trying to show that God does not exist. The believers remain believers; the doubters remain doubters. Usually, nothing much is gained for either side by these arguments.

something my friend wrote.

His disciples wrote the bible; God did not tell them what to write in the bible. His disciples recorded as they were following Him.

Evolution. It just makes more sense to me, but both sides have its explainations.

However, my friend is a Christian, and she believes in evolution.

ok first thing:

1. Did you know that orignally scientists claimed that the earth was about 100 million years old. Now they say that it is 65 billion years old so it will fit in their "explanation".

2. How can something come from nothing in the big bang? The big bang defies the laws of thermodynamics.

3. All of you people that have taken biology-----> evolutionists say that the simplerer life came first right? well, the simplest life there is, is a one-cell parasite. how could they survive initially without some other life?

4. All of the fossil finds that men have found of "missing links" have been largely made up. In fact, the one named Lucy's bones were found 2 miles apart with 200 feet depth separation. how could they belong to one organism.

5. The geologic time scale can not be found layer ofr layer in any part of the wolrd. The grand Canyon itself is missing about 150 milliong years.

6. There have been fossil finds of fish on Mt. Everest> explain that unless there wasn't a worldwide flood. Water dsplaces and finds its own level, so the only way for a fish to make it to the top of a mountian is for a wolrd-wide flood to occur.

I'm definitely for creation.

I agree with you completely.

Also...
I was looking thorugh some creation magazines and stuff like that and I have found lots of intresting information that you might want to know but since everything that has to do with creation outsmarting evolution intrest me, I doubt that you might want to look through all the articles so I'll just post some of the more intresting ones.
How Neptune defies the theory of evolution:
Neptune Page 1
Neptune page 2
Neptune page 3
Sorry if the articles are blurry...I had to use my old scanner.
Oh...and also for those of you who don't know (everyone should already know this) if you're using Internet Explorer it resizes the image to fit your screen. All you have to do to see it properly is to hover your mouse on the bottom-right of the image until the resizer thing appears and click on it. lol, shame on you for those of you who didn't know this!

Ok.... Heres another one if you're intrested...
Ostrich Egg breaks Dino to Bird Theory: Page1
Ostrich page 2

Yes... I know I'm crazy to be looking at magazines and studying stuff like this for fun but oh well... I least I have some solid ground on what to believe and not.

I also have bible verses and thigs which I took notes on that tells about evolution and stuff so I'll post those up too as soon as I find them.
