there's 2 actually just from my last birthday. i had a big sweet 16 birthday bash and one of my good guy friends said i had to open his present that night and he brought me over to the side and it was a silver chain with a heart pendant that said 16. then later that night my boyfriend wanted me to open his gift and card. the card was beautiful and the words in it meant so much and the gift was a gorgeous diamond heart necklace on a gold chain. happy.gif

uhh...i don't think i ever had any great "oh my god i'm so happy, everyone loves me biggrin.gif " birthdays, let alone presents... stubborn.gif

one memorable thing would have to be...10 bucks and no cake on my 16th birthday, oh life is so good to me in the family department _dry.gif and it's not even a money thing, for my brother's 20th birthday my parents decided to celebrate by going out to eat...this was the same yr as my 16th birthday, his birthday is 2 months after mine

Don't get gifts on my birthday, just a card. I open my gifts in Christmas.

Most memorable memory would be getting a phone call from 2 of my friends and my dad's boss (he's kinda like family) wishing me a Happy Birthday. People rarely remember my birthday (New Year's Day -- January 1st) because they're busy or at a party. So I guess the best gift is people remembering me.

I know what you mean. On my 16th birthday my father was in a terrible mood, my mother was sick/ asleep, and my brother slept all day. No one called, and no one remembered. IT'S ON NEW YEAR'S HOW COULD YOU FORGET?!? Oh yeah, but 4 days later, my brother got a special ice cream cake with a picture of Angelina Jolie on it, we went to a restaurant, and people remembered his birthday. OMG It pissed me off so much!

well some people get great parents or at least nice parents but some end up like me...i have plenty of these kinds of stories, but whatever, i can legally move out when i'm 18 _dry.gif i have a year and a month to go, plus this is probably a happy thread/topic so i'll keep the negativity to myself...

haha, can't forget my 17th birthday, one of my really good guy friends got me the halo2 game cause he knew i liked it. he gave it to me and i remembered thinking to myself "darn, whose xbox can i borrow?" _unsure.gif then all of a sudden he grabbed this huge box from underneath the table and said, "then i realized how in the hell are you gonna be able to play without one of these.." i opened the box and inside was an xbox. blink.gif but the surprises kept coming, then he grabbed another box and said, "then i thought how are we gonna be able to come over and play without these extra things.." and i opened it and there were another 3 controllers in there. cry.gif i was in awe and of course all the guys were oogling over it.

my little brothers benefitted most from all of this. happy.gif
