Well... so my friend has bought this new MP3 player.
When she got home, she found that there was no plastic wrap on the screen, and it was scratched. She phoned the store but they say they couldn't give her a new one unless of technical problems. Freaking out, she called me and asked me if there are any ways to remove the scratch marks on the screen. I, not knowing what to do, decided to post this up and see if any of one have any good ways. any help will be appreciated ![]() |

why must she be so worried about the screen? if it's just a scratch...
Tell her to go back to the store and begin a bitch fit with the front desk about how she is not satisfied with the quality of the product. And how they sold her a "defective" product. How can she read and operate the player if there's a scratch on the screen? You can always bring along an adult and tell them that the packaging shows a non-scratched screen, and the product she got was scratched, and claim a false advertisement lawsuit. Or gather a crowd by loudly explaining the sad story of the scratched player, and how the store has failed in customer satisfaction and quality for the customer. Demand for it. |

if its big enuf to hinder operation or even make it cumbersome to operate the product, it's a technical issue.
She can claim this and exchange it. |

you can use a scratch filler...
but anyway, just go exchange it. if it's still in the returnable time... then exchange it. don't bring the manual, and say that the manual's missing, and you think it's been opened before and you want a new one. scratch fillers aren't good. |

I would exchange it.
My mp3 player when I first got it freaking blew up when I charged it up. Something inside shortcircuited it and caught fire and started smoking. I returned it and they gave me another one which also was a piece of crap. It charged up but never turned on. So I contacted customer service for the mp3 player manufacturer who after several emails to tech support gave me a RMA number to return. I just send the mp3 player through my local post office and got it back a week or so later. Now it works. Try contacting the Mp3 player manufacturer and they should be able to help u or I would go to the store and returned it if it the store's fault. |

Exchange it.
And besides, the product was probably already been returned if it has no plastic wrap on the screen. And is this scratch like, big? Like, a CRACK? that you can't even see through it? or just a SCRATCH? If it's just a scratch, just tell her that she's gonna get a scratch sooner or later.. |

Well did she buy it as an open box product? Or was it on the shelf in the original box and basically being sold as new? Because if she bought it knowingly as an openbox product then she can't really do much about it. But if it was "new" then she could go to the store and exchange it.
