Mr. Acid, aren't you tired of answering to the same kind of questions to the same kind of people? I know I am.

From now on, if I feel like answering to a question that have been answered before, instead of wasting my time to write out something new, I'll just copy and paste.

If you write something new, another person will come and ask the same question. I think if you paste something over and over again, people will eventually grasp that one idea. Once they grasp it and move on to the next level of questions, then and only then will they understand new material.

^ yepyep.

and doubleaxel, it's not like we evolved from one cell in a day. it took millions of years to do so, and it's gonna take millions of years to evolve into something more. it's gradual. big word, i know.

Evolution. Definitely.
I'm sorry, but it just doesn't make sense that god created the earth in seven days or whatever. And i cannot agree with christians, like if i don't believe in god, i automatically go to hell? There is more proof with evolution.

Evolution! Well, I don't want to just repeat what everyone already said about Evolution. But! It makes lots, LOTS! more sence then the theory CREATION. Well first of all I don't Believe in that kinda GOD. ... Buddist here... Creation is totally illogical...

It's amazing to us when 'Extreme makeover' builds a house in 7 days. I doubt God can make a earth from scratchin 7. It's totally un-scientific! And imaginary. Sounds like a 6 year old made that up. Also, Adam and Eve makes No sence whatsoever. NONE. Incest? - Handicapped kids. Where do we place ugly neanderthals, if Adam and Eve were supposed to be 'beautiful and perfect. (dunno if thats what they are supposed to be, but thats what i've heard). And I'm sorry but its dumb to think that 2 ppl can populate the entire world. NO WAY! If i were to believe in creation, it would be a safer bet to go with the greek methology - of the 16 titans. - Less incest...

That site that someone posted up earlier about the Creation theory proved by some wierdo church supporters. It's so retarded how they think they can put a banner of the Earth in space and make the site look any bit more scientific. It sounds like crap, seriously, when they say 'heres eveidence that science supports the bible' annoys the crap out of me. Science was supposed to stand on its own, not based on any pre-written stuff - only facts, and REAL knowledge. (Irrelevant: The picture of the guy in the corner, looks like the priest that molest little kids)

Science just came around a few hundred years ago, (and so did this theory) and might not be perfect... yet. But It makes way MORE sence and is probably way more accurate then the Creation theory. Do the ppl that wrote the bible think that our minds are so tiny, that we will just believe everything they tell us? Well, according to this thread... It sure looks like, they got some ppl hooked. But I support Evolution 100% if i had a choice between the two.

QUOTE
also, evolution says things will evolve to turn into something better, if it's true then how come we've been the same for millions of years?!

Um.. is something wrong w/ you. First of all. Humans weren't even around for 'millions of years' Second of all. As far as I understand, the BIBLE said we were only around for a couple hundred years...

Don't get me wrong... I'm believe in a Creator myself... but this kind of thing pisses me off.

Time cannot have begun with creationism. why? because time can have never begun.

there cannot be a beginning of time. because to have a beginning of time, there needs to be something before time. and whatever is before time, in order to create time, would need time to do that thing.

so, time never began, and can never end.

Don't you mean YOU can feel him? I don't feel anything.

QUOTE
can u feel ur science?

Yes, don't you feel heat from a heater? Don't you feel cold air from an AC?

And better yet, I can see science.

QUOTE
does ur science help u in the rough times?

Yes. The computer and phone allows me to see and talk to distant friends and family who comforts me from time to time.

Do you know what hard times entail? Have you lived in a barn in your childhood? Did you ever had to yearn to go to school like normal kids? Did you ever fear of starving to death? Of the above I've experienced two of them. Religion didn't get me out of those time, hardship and the will to live did.

They point out what is relevant, however, you can't seem to do the same.

I agree w/ uninspiredfae. I would have written the responses to the ridiculous comments of bootsergrl18, if she haden't. I get annoyed when ppl give God all the credit for human accomplishments. Seriously. "thank god" is normal nowadays in our esspressions. But we don't really mean it. It just comes out. But when the priest or some deeply religious ppl thank GOD for stuff, and really mean it. It's really annoying. Cause God is not the one that made an invention or gave money to homeless shelters, or risk their lives in buring buildings - its humans. And we should learn to give credit to them. Not just - God.

1: I have definintly not seen god. have you?

2: I cannot feel the god of which you speak. You cannot see the wind, but how to you know it is there? because the windmills turn. You cannot see god, but how do you know he is there? because the windmills turn?

3: oh... so it's my science... i cannot feel the science of which you speak. of course, i can't really feel light (sunlight has UV and Infra, which is the heat you feel- light itself would be from florecent ones) , now can you? yet how do you know that light exists? you can't even see light. all you can see is the effects of light. you can see it's reflection. likewise, you can't see or feel science, but you know it is there. how? because if it wasn't you wouldn't be looking at these words on your liquid crystal display, or your cathode ray tube (both of which made by science) You wouldn't be typing on your plastic keys, or move your mouse (which either has optical shaft encoders of an LED and a photocell arangement. (or a laser and a photocell arangement) The internet which allows you to see these words, it is made by science.

4. science does help me through hard times. In a storm, i sit in my scientifically created house, turn on my cathode ray tube, watch a scientifically gathered information on a screen, which my local station has decided to name ARMOR radar, which is apparently better than doplar. Contrarly, If i were ever lost on an island, i would use my knolegde of science to start myself a signal fire, upon which you (if you were a truley devout beliver) would wait for god's lightning to light you a fire, or to guide someone to you.

5. we share 98% of the genes of a chimpanzee CHIMPANZEES ARE NOT MONKEYS. they do not fail to point out that we share only 50% of our genes with house flys. The reason for this similarity is the fact that we do many of the same things, like convert ATP to ADP. Do you know, also, that less than half of our DNA is USELESS? we don't use it. it's like stuff in HTML with <!-- --!> or something around it.

The problem with such topics as these is that you get to a point and you can argue no more, I personally believe in evolution but of course eventurally you get to a point where you're like, ok then where did the first life come from. Primordial soup, ok where did everything in the universe come from that eventurally made up the primordial soup.
*Dead Silence*
Then the religious people jump in with GOD!
Other people BIG BANG!
Then the clueless people just don't know.

When asked where God came from, the religious people say he was always there.
When they ask where the Big Bang came from, the same answer can be used.

So, we basically hit a stand still.

Ihate how some christians are so deeply rooted in their religion that they can't even open their eyes and look around. Everything must involve God, anyone that says there is no God is instantly evil. Blah Blah Blah, I'm a stupid Christian, I'm too dumb to realize that there's stuff out there besides religion. I go on religious retreats to get "closer" to god. I somehow know God and understand his will. I am going to go to "heaven" after I die because I'm Christian and go to Church. I give the Church money because it will help me go to heaven one day. Blah Blah Blah.

Yea, I did just diss your religion, what are you going to do about it?

Assuming the world is 3,000 years old, starting from Adam and Eve, everyone would have to have 1.21 children and nobody could die. Of course the chances of that aren't very high since people are dying every second. The world is almost certainly not only 3,000 years old since written history and human history extends far past that.

Religion is for the weak of mind. Why rely on the crutch of religion when you can move freely? Human beings are no longer as weak as we once were, we understand the world and can solve our problems. Religion does nothing but slow us down. Not that they can do much, but whenever something contriversal happens, the church usually comes out ontop. How can we proceed in science if we must listen to the babblings of an ancient institution. It's as if we read the works of the greats and followed the science within them rather than following what we know now.
