Do you have parents that dont speak/read english very good, and when your trying to tell them/read them something, they dont wanna listen??? My dad is mexican, and he doesnt know how to read english or speak it very good. when i try to read him directions or something, he's always like "no, thats not right" and all of this other crap. gah it pisses me off, because the directions are right there, and I'm reading them right off of the package, and he still doesnt think they are right. then he does it his own way, and screws it up.rawr...-.-

my parents are semi illiterates, and i am always obligated to help them, well, it just frustrates me when i am in the process of helping them, and then they yell at me for being impatient and... hell break loose

Both of my parents know & understand English, but my dad has a really heavy Filipino accent which makes some of the English words he says sound funny.

My father is mexican and he is just stubborn and the same exact way. He does not like when I tell him when he is wrong about something and has a hard time reading himself. My grandfather is the same way.

Hahah yea.. And since I can't speak vietnamese (or chinese), I can't really explain to my mom about anything.. I just have to keep repeating myself in english until she understands.. Once in a while I told my half-sister about the situation and got her to tell my mother, in cantonese. Haha and then she would understand. I don't even bother telling my father. He can read english and understand, but he is always making fun of me whenever I try to tell him anything. I hate him. stubborn.gif

that's what it's like for me too except i'm chinese, it's really annoying becuase they tell me to translate all these government type things or fill out forms for them, i don't even know what's going on and they're like "you were born here, you speak english, how come you don't know?" god, why won't they just leave me alone mad.gif

i especially hate it when they lecture me and yell at me and say that i'm stupid and the next day they ask me to help them with something as if yesterday didn't f*cking happen stubborn.gif this happened two days ago, my dad screamed "stupid" at me just because i came home at 8 pm oh no that's so late _dry.gif
