yes, avril lavigne is a band, she isnt a band but she has one.
well basically all those simple plan, good charlotte, linkin park, al, and the pop punk wannabe bands piss me off. Especially Linkin park, for mixing with a rap icon. I truly believe that rap should stay where it is, seperate fromm what linkin park is referred to as "metal" |

It simply dosnt work. |

My brother -&- I had a huge discussion about music genres last night. It started out with a simple question by me: What genre would you put Kill Hannah into?
We never formed an answer. He said that genres are dumb -&- we shouldn't even classify music. It is what it is. Brilliant statement, bro. Only one flaw... Genres are essential to music. If somebody asked you what kind of music you like, you'd need to answer with band/singer names. Here's an example... "Oh, I like the Adolescents." "What are they like?" "They're kinda like the Casualties only not so hardcore." If the person has never heard the Casualties, how are they gonna know what the Adolescents are like? Bottom line: we need genres. We need crossing genres. We need huge borders between different genres, and a very thin line between the mixing of them. I know that really had nothing to do with this thread, but I wanted to get it out. |

well first, hillary duff really isnt a band. k, well basically the topic starter started off with rock.. or erm wannabe rock bands, punk etc.
No one really went to pop here.. and Hillary Duff, well you dont even need to mention it, we just all know she sucks. And for the Beastie Boys.. I think they should just leave their coureer as it is, cause their new albulm, sucks. Seriously.. Their old songs may have been somewhat inrtesting and popular then, but theyre just out now in my opinion. |
