i'd go with pc.. you can get alot more free programs and you can actually play games on it. plus on the mac i can't get past the fact that there's no right click button. and people say mac is better for graphics designing.. but what the hell, they're both the same.

i'd go with PC.

for me, I prefer a mac, but that's probably because I have one. And, yeah, you could always get virtual pc in mac.

mac is great .. only downfall is that it's a lot more expensive .. macs are incapable of getting viruses and all the pain in the butt things we deal with when it comes to pcs *sigh .. but since i don't have a lot of money nor the knowledge of how those things work .. i stick with my pc .. just constantly check for adware and all the viruses kakaka :D

are you serious? macs can get viruses. just not the ones designed for windoze (yes, i spelled it like that on purpose).

if you want a good operating system that isn't vulnerable to virii, try linux. in fact, you should be using linux, regardless of whether it's vulnerable or not.

(Ahh.. Girl invading the guy's locker room.. *shock* jeeze...)

Oh boy..

Okay, now I grew up on DOS (old school) and pretty much every version of Windows.

Yet, you know what? I LOVE Mac. Yes, Mac OS X is much better in my opinon.

I have a PowerBook G4 12".. Talk about sweet. I love it to death. Right now I'm on my Dad's PC, though, 'cause I accidentally broke my powercord.. Blech. Anyways, if you're into gaming, they make pretty much most of the larger games on PC as long as you look in an Apple Store. Plus, you can get Virtual PC, which works just as well, in my opinion. Think about it.. You can use Windows stuff on Mac, but you can't use Mac stuff on windows. Unfair. AND, the Mac interface is so pretty ^_^ I'm making my Xanga look like it.. It's not done though -_-

Though, overall, Mac is much better if you're using it strictly for deisgn, art, music, or business. It has programs like iCal and stuff to keep you inline. It also has easy language switching. I can type in Japanese or Chinese by just clicking a button. It's really handy.

Bleh, and the OS Wars return.

Just please don't say that Apple is produce and belongs in a grocery store. My boyfriend says that.. He's an idiot.

Honestly, it all depends on what you do. Seeing how this is basically a forum for deisgners.. I'd reccomend Mac highly.

Ohhh.. one more thing. You CAN right click on Mac.. but you really have no need.

yea, I remember doing it a few times on accident, it was COOL! lol but then it was relly hard to do. LoL, I like the way MACs look and lots less viruses, but PCs all the way for me. Maybe get a mac just for designing someday. They seem a little slow for me, though. Or maybe because the ones at school are linked on a network/server conencted to like 200 other computers, so that's why they're so slow. >_<"

not sure how virtual pc works, is it emulation? if that's true, you wouldn't be able to emulate the more hardware intensive applications. the super expensive mac you buy today will be obsolete in a year because it's harder to upgrade and there is little third party support.

Linux is the best.

The only time I've used macs was when I was in elementary school...They had mac computers, and you couldn't right click and stuff...theyre mouse was all skrewy.
