well i personally never write thank you notes. because not many relatives sned me things. mostly i see them and they give me the present and if they do send me something i just call them and say thanks.

Yeah, they take for ever, and they're so HARD and ANNOYING! Lol, but I guess I should when people spend the time to look for gifts... even if they are urkiful.
It's so hard to think of what to say after you say thankyou, too.

.. I've NEVER written those thank you cards for Christmas.. I tell the people 'thank you so much!" when they hand the present to me in person.. but i don't get much gifts anyway, so it wouldn't really matter..
