My mom says that it is bad luck if you have your period and you sit on someone's clothes. She also said it was disrespectful if you pray or stand in front of Buddha when you have your period.

I think the myth about the girl hanging out thing is true bcuz when my friend had her period..i had mine like the next month
 and then now we have like the same schedule

lol. mah mom duz da same too. i guess they r not tru but still.. maybi try preventing it... but mah mom wudnt go all stressy about it. she juz tellz me.. n i juz do wat i feel like doing.
 da good thing iz wen i haf mah period i dun haf much crampz as mah friendz do =p

Yea, half my family is chinese and all my chinese friends say their parents say that whole washing hair thing with the bags under your eyes. But it's not true! But caffine is good, it gives you cramps. But chocolate can help u feel better, it worked for me!

i don't think washing hair during your period is bad for you
but i know for a fact that drinking cold drinks//something cold can make your cramps get really worse..that's why i take midol, drink hot tea, or hot chocolate [=

my teacher told me that she used to go to an all girl's boarding school, and they did EVERYTHING the same, together. and then, they got their periods in the same week.

whoa same here. my mom has all these myth crud about being on your period. my mom also tells me not to wash my hair when i'm on my period. she says it makes you have frequent headaches when you're old.

i believe in that one about having the same cycle as girls you're around a lot cos my friend emily & i could never predict our schedules, but from august til now, we've been together almost every day and we've been getting our periods on the same exact day for about the past 3 months. i just confused myself. we don't start on the same day every month, but we start on the same day as eachother. so like she'll call me and tell me she started her period then a few hours later, mine will show up. it's ca-razy!

periods are normal and I think your mom is trying to be too err...but anywayz..the only thing that is true concerning periods so far is that if you dont have it yet during that month and you go into water, then you wont get it during the time youre in the water. Cramps cant be stopped; and what can I say..showers wont give you bags under your eyes, it's sleeping late. so don't believe err...just everything your mom says.

The thing about girls having the same schedule is true....I ve read about it and some experiment that was done to prove it. It has something to do with sweat i think. But anybody that ur around alot that typically will happen.
