i was wondering if you like it when your bands become too popular??
to me its a pester because alot of the wannabes act like they know the band and stuff after one song...such as my chemical romance and their song "im not okay"...you wont believe how many wannabes talk about my chemical romance now because of their one song "im not okay" even tho they been around for like 3 years!?  first album came out like in 2002 or something...so what do you think about the question  ^...just wondering if im the only one with this opinion hahah

My Chemical Romance has actually been around for about 4 or 5 years if not more actually, I don't listen to manstream so I could really care less, most people havnt heard the band I listen to so they think im weird. I guess not following the crowd isnt cool anymore.

I HATE IT OMG
like i listened to maroon 5 like almost 2 years ago..and now EVERYONE is all "omg maroon 5!!" OMG IT PISSES ME OFF! and they're like "oh have you heard them? they're so good, they're my favorite band!" and i'm like "loser, i was listening to them sooo long ago" uuugh.

yah i agree. it sort of ruins it =/
the huge popularity only lasts for a week or something till their "old". then its like your a loser for lsitening to them or something? i agree with sammi too >.< |

no, i hate it when the music i listen to becomes mainstream. modest mouse is not new. theyve been around for a long time, but they were only played on the radio after float on, so now lots of people like them, and it pissed me off, because i listened to them for a long time. and now theyre playing the shins on the radio. what the hell?? no! stop it! i swear, if they start playing the postal service...

Haha hasnt modest mouse been around since the early 90s? I remember reading somewhere that they won "Best New Alternative Band" I started cracking up at people who actually thought they were a new band.

i hate it.
oh yeah especially my chemical romance. ive been listening to them for a long time now and everybody is just like "OH MAH GOSHZ MCR!!!<3333 IM NOOTTT OH EFFING KAY!!!" I HATE IT! drives me nuts. yeah so whenever im listening to my cd player i dont let any of my friends listen to it. cause they will start going " OH MAH GOSHERZ!!!!!......" QUOTE they already play the postal service here. your kidding me!! if they start playing postal service here im going to go crazy. |

Yea I hate it. I've listened to Blink 182 since Buddha came out. Now since their new album.. and Feeling This came out, all of my friends are obsessed with Blink. It gets on my nerves..

Ehh I dont listen to the radio so I dont have to listen to crappy bands like the postal service. Ok well maybe theyre ok but im just not into them. The Postal Service is actually pretty mainstream in big cities because of constant TV play and Fuse.

i hate how people all of a sudden rushed toward evanescence after my immortal and their sudden mainstreamness. I hate how people are like, OmGzROs I tOTrALiLy LoVeS <3 thEirS MUSIC!!!!! <333 when they dont understand what its about at all. That's what happens when music turns mainstream. :/ |

I think that if a good band works hard they deserve to become famous. Who cares how many people just like one song or like them because it's cool. If their music changes and you don't like it just listen to their old cds. They deserve it.

i first began with good charlotte. their first cd was totally AWESOME. then teeny boppers came into the scene and ruined it. They brain-washed GC, and now they're total sell outs. then i moved on...
...to fall out boy. sure enough, they're on the road to total stardom and popularity. along with stardom and popularity, attracts teeny-boppers who are only into them because they think the guitarist/vocalist/drummer/bassist etc is hot, and swooning over them just because of one song they like.  so i really hope that any good bands dont go mainstream, cause once they hit the mainstream, thats just like the kiss of death.

i know what you mean... i started listening to my chemical romance and modest mouse about last novemberish, and now everyone is like "OMFG I SAW THEM ON FUSE <3!" same thing happened to coheed and cambria, and is currentally happening to senses fail and the early november....
