I trust Peta as much as I trust Michael Moore. Both of there campaigns open your eyes but if they were biased anymore to the left they'd be laying down.

i couldn't watch the whole movie, but thats not gunna stop me from eating meat, i was born to eat meat, i mean i don't eat a lot of it but i still can't give it up completly and not all farms are like that just the ones that are going to go out of business. i really can't stand vegetarians anyway they're always trying to force others to stop eating meat...yeah i feel bad for the cows, chickens, pigs, turkeys, or anyother animal i've eaten but i mean i have to survie too, and not eating meat for me is too hard

i hate ppl that are all vegetarian and claim that all of these cows and other animals are being treated cruely. do u see cows roaming around in the wild? wen ur on a jungle safari, do u go "oh look mom! a COW!" no, i dont think so. farmers breed them. without us, there wouldn't be so many cows in the first place.

if u stop eating meat, u arent accomplishing anything. u arent saving the world from animal cruelty. ppl eat meat and that will never change, so stop complaining about it unless u actually go out and do something about it.

My parents are vegetarian for religious purposes. I am required to go 4 days a month without meat by religion. I couldn't see the video, but did you think that the way we get our meat was pleasant in the first place? Did you think they gave the animals pain relievers, or some kind of anisthetic(sp?)? No. We have no disregard for animals. All that matters is that we have meat. Think about it.

lol im not making fun of your religion, but I dont think I know anyone who actually eats meat every single day. So going 4 days without isnt really hard? I guess.

well that's the people you know. It's really not that hard. But Buddhism has been changed and made easier to attract people. Siddhartha(sp) buddhism is the best..

Seeing the comments of these doesn't exactly make me want to watch this...

same here...

I mean, you hear about some places screwing up their animals like KFC's or whatnot...then you have that movie "supersize this" going around...I don't know. I just hear a lot of stuff...

I'll take a look at it later.

I never considered becoming a vegetarian but who knows. I should go on a healthy-food diet

My grandpa is buddhist, but hes like the real one. He gave up all his valued possesions and moved away for 20 years, he just moved back 3 or 4 years ago but hes still very religious and follows the traditions. Not sure what form of buddhism that is but he follows it. Swears he hasnt eaten meat in like 30 years or something. Its kind of weird because we're like Russian, but he fell in love with it for some reason. hes really cool to be around though.

"the real one" could be defined in many different ways. But that sounds like a monk to me. Why'd he stop? Shoulda kept going. My parents are doing this new age Buddhism lead by this Buddha. She's pretty amazing actually. I suppose I am not a "real" Buddhist, but i will become a monk one day..

omg, lmao, you are so frickin funny, LMFAO, "Gulliable" is not in the dictionary because you spelt it wrong, dimwit.

PETA doesn't go overboard with everything...I guess the animal farms they show are the worst of the worst, but they still exist. Maybe instead of laughing yourself to death, you could provide some info to prove that animal farms aren't like what PETA shows them to be?

Sorry for idiots like you, but all you're doing is making yourself look stupid. Congratulations.

Btw, this might not be relevant, but it's free, not feed. Rofl.

Wow... that's more scary than sad. But I don't think that's how most farm animals are treated. But even so, those animals getting hurt on that video was horrible! There are bad people all over the world, what can ya do. _dry.gif

Eh, I'll just eat sushi anyways...

after watching that video.. i almost decided to become a vegeterian. until i read some of the posts.. so then, even if i did stop eating meat.. it wouldn't change anything. other people would continue to eat meat. so stop eating meat would do nothing. i love animals, but not that much to spend my entire life trying to stop everything. it's the way life is. it's hard to change. it could take a life-time. forever. it may never end. becoming a vegeterian changes nothing. besides. not all farms are like that. i went to many farms before, and those farms treated animals with respect. =)

oh my god!! i cried through that.. cry.gif

i read all the previous posts.. about PETA pickin out the worst farms. even if its the worst farms, those animals in the video were still living things. even if it doesnt happen usually, it happens. and if a poor soul is chosen to be an animal for its next life and that cow is on one of those farms, it still affects animals. not all, but some.
lets say its kids being kidnapped, for example. it doesnt happen a lot, but it happens. how would you feel if you happened to be the sister of one of the kidnapped children? it doesnt happen all the time, but if it happened to happen (blink.gif) to you, wouldn't that just suck?

all those posts about life not being fair and that we couldn't do anything about it.. really, one plate less of bacon will save a pig's life. say we all pull ourselves together - a thousand less courses of chicken breast will save 500 chickens. think about that.

if i was kidnapped my older sister (she's 15) wouldn't care. >.< she thinks i'm annoying. haha. guess i am. born annoying, staying like that =D if she was kidnapped i'd be sad.. but i wouldn't know what to do.. but what does this have to do with animals? blink.gif

anyways, one plate less of bacon will NOT save a pig's life. it's already dead. how will it stay alive? it'd just be left to rott. =.=" see. pretend you are in a cafeteria. they are selling chickens wings. the chickens that were used to make those chicken wings were already killed, and cooked. all you could do is 'reject' the food. the chicken wouldn't be alive. other people would eat it. or it'd be thrown away.

you have no idea how overboard peta goes.

i'm sorry, but i don't think that is quite overboard when they DIE either way.

Wishful Thinking- wow um..I think what he's trying to say...is if THEY just spared one pig, that's a whole life left. Yes if we refused it, it would still be there...but if enough people refuse it obviously they'd be making to much for their consumers..being a vegitarian isn't about that entirly, because it's impossible to make everybody give up their precious meat. It's like saying you don't want to be a part of this. If there was a shooting around your house, you had a gun in your hand, and person was being killed, would you shoot with them? Just cuz you could? Cuz you had the gun? No. And you not shooting wouldn't make everyone else stop. But it doesn't make it right.
