be carefull!!!!!, my xanga just got hacked into Options

hey be carefull my xanga just got hacked into and my whole layout is totally gone. everytime i went to my page i would get a huge error message and i would click it and my computer would turn off... i just format my computer and deleted everything from my look and feel and went to basic and changed my password but becareful okay? i dont want anyone else to have that problem..i dont know how i got it.....all i've been doing is layout designs of my own a couple of times i used other peoples layout. my friend said she talked to someone who used a free layout and her xanga was hacked into she had to create a new account..so becareful ... investigate any free layouts u use before u put them in your look and feel.... that is all. thanks....

now i gotta either find a safe layout or make one again..ugghhh the torture LOL

yep i basically learned my lesson to save my codes in notepad and if i use someones layout they made for people il'll double check the code

for a long time i was using made layouts by other people just recently i got into making my own layouts but before my recent new layout that i had up i was using somene's freebie layout and when i put up my new layout i made (i know all the codes where right because the layout was working fine for a long time) thats when i started to get errors and my layout was miysteriously getting messed up piece by piece. totally sucks now i'm in the porcess of making a new layout... and i'm gonna save the code in notepad hehe

Wait, so your xanga was "hacked" when you were using your OWN layout with your OWN codes? Or when you were using someone else's layout that they submitted or what? Because I mean, it seems as if you lost everything, as if you put up your own codes. But then if you say that we should be careful if we use someone else's layout/skin? Bleh I'm confused.

Anyway, yea it's smart to save everything on notepad. I even upload the notepad file just in case too, lol, since my computer screwed up alot in the past and I had to reformat.

xanga virus?? the last problem i had with my xanga was wen i used this new layout where you have buttons to navigate (subscriptions, log in, log out, etc..) but the buttons weren't working.. i hadn't thought of going to www.xanga.com/CLAF to change my layout so i thought my xanga would be stuck with that layout forever..

then i created another account.
