I don't agree with the jury, even though what scott peterson did was just horrible-
+. I believe that the government should not take lives away..what are they proving anyway? scott peterson killed his wife and unborn child, but what does taking another life mean?
+. yes, i agree life in prison would have been the right thing for him, because he will die in prison eventually.

i sort of agree, yet I dont.
Part of me is saying 'Yes go on and kill him because he killed someone. Now he is getting what he did'
And the other says 'No, dont kill him because.. he just killed one person?'

death penalty - unnecessary. he isnt a terrorist or anything like that.

life in prison - worth a lot of money. tax payers pay a lot of money just for him and that..

im stickin wit the life in prision. a lot better than him dying for killin only 2 ppl. unless he cant stand prision life, thats a different matter.

1. Why should the death penalty be reserved for only terrorists?

2. And life in prison costs less than sentencing someone to death.

3. And "killin only 2 ppl?" You de-value human life that much?

I don't think it was a good idea.

They didn't have a lot of evidence.. yeah, sure.. "he didz it, y0!"
I'm sure he did [non-sarcasm], but stilll.

Oh, and I don't believe in the death penalty, anyway.

well, i don't belive he did it, because they had to dismiss what, 3 jurors before they could get him convicted?

sounds like runaway jury to me...

i really don't trust this trial... it didn't seem fair, not with all the messing with the jury.

I don't agree with the death penalty for anybody. Isn't it the same thing as what they're punishing scott peterson for? You might call me religious, but God gave us life and only God should have the right to take it. Plus, what if he turned out to be innocent.

It's a bigger crime than what he's being punished for.

Seperate church and state, the thing our country was founded on. It may not apply to common life but the one place it still applies in is court. Court is the last thing in America where every man is infact created equal (barring the jury hasnt been bought or some other tampering). For people who say "blah blah leave him in jail make him think of what hes done." have you ever truly seen what a national maximum security jail is like? Its like being a low middle class citizen. You have free time, you have work (like everyone else) you have computers, tvs, books, and even music for your enjoyment (Be it only an hour or so a week). Inmates get the best medical service in the country, better than the rich pay for theirs. Living in jail your whole life isnt like it was in the 50s when the guards would walk around bashing your head in. Infact for some of the people who live in slums and ghetto these jails are a better lifestyle than they see in their own neighborhoods. Many street criminals have admitted that they would rather go to a mininum/regular security prison just to get away from the normal life.

I'd rather die than live life in prison. You have nothing to live for.
