ok i know that there is a code that you put in custom header that makes all the bold words on your site one color...and i was wondering if there is a code like that for italicized words also...

no, it's just a comment. the browser completely ignores it. but you can see it in the source code. it's merely a way of marking where the code comes from. you can ask micron(the founder of createblog) why he put it there.
