Lol! I do have stuff from my doctor that deals with my acne, but it's not working real well any more. I would pretty much be fine anout my acne if the damned kids at my school didn't always make fun of me about it. I even hear the stupid ppl talking about me! It's like I'm not even in the same freacking room! Grrrrrrr.

same here >< everytime someone makes fun of me about it, i get really stressed out about it. erg. screw them.

for your back use the scrub thingies you get at the store with the body soap that takes care of acne. i use the morning burst stuff, i think it's clean & clear. and for your face, just dont pick! leave it alone, and it'll heal if you leave it alone!

There's also another very strong acne fighting ingredient called  benzoyl peroxide. You can find that in Clean & Clear Continuous Control Acne Cleanser. Hope that helps!  happy.gif

benzoyl peroxide irritates sensitive skin...like mines pinch.gif ..so I reccomend Neutrogena

I heard that if you have acne anywhere other than your face, you should ask your doctor for antifungal cream or something.

i have been a fighter of acne for three years...and im still losing! mad.gif

i have acne on my face and back and after three years, i have learned not to pick it...even though I still might sometimes

i have used neutrogena that made my face worse, a fricken 60 bucks wasted on proactiv which only worked for a couple months then somehow stopped working, and im currently using cheap cheap centaphil which is completely useless...

i know this may sound gross, but my aunt is one of the best dermatologists in new york city, and she told me this and it has really worked so far, i have no acne left at all (it works for bacne too)

drink a tablespoon on plain vinegar every morning. I swear on my life it works, it may taste nasty, but it works

blink.gif
you know what? i am going to try that
*goes out to buy a huuge jar of vinegar*
does it have to be the clear kind?
ughh im willing to try anything right now

I've tried four things:
  • Neutrogena - irritated my skin and didn't help at all!
  • Clearasil - Worked for about 6 months (which was great!), then stopped working.
  • Clean and Clear - Somewhat clears up.. It clears up my body acne, actually. But not my facial acne.
  • Biore - Somewhat clears...
And I'm too lazy to wake up and do that proactiv thing anyway. I wonder if I should try it... But a close friend of mines used it and it didnt' work for her at all. But it somewhat works for my boyfriend.. but he still has ALOT of acne.. but I mean, it's slightly going away.. a tiny bit.. so that's good. :]

The vinegar thing.. a table spoon of plain vinegar? Okay, I'll do it. But do I have to do it all the time? If it DOES work and the acne does go away, does that mean I would have to continue taking the tablespoon of vinegar every morning?

Well, my sister used to have a lot of acne, and she put this orange stuff on her face like from Vietnam, that our cousins gave her to help her face, and she takes vitamin c pills, and I think that it really helps. And pro activ sort of helps to. =]

well when you pick pimples...normally a nasty scab appears and leaves a scar. theres nothing much you can do about that =[...i've been there before though. i'm a pimple popper myself.

all you can do, is use what you doctor prescribes you.
i read in a magazine, for the back acne you just use your face wash and use it on your bakc while your in the shower.

also...make sure your washing your face twice a day, and look for sylicic (sp?) acid in your face wash.

woooo! thanks kristin =]

and one thing from just_dream aka christina. yeah i used neutrogena and it actually worked^^;;

What causes pimples is the bacteria that gets on your skin or if you like touch your face a lot when your hands are dirty. just wash your face every day. like in the morning, when you get home from school & before going to bed. that will help. what i do is in the morning i put face wash & when i get home from school & before going to bed i just wash it with water & be sure not to touch your face too often. Your hands have bacteria from touching the chair, pencils, desks, etc. you know the rest. It's also from the food you eat, like fried foods? I read from a maginzine that if you eat a lot of chocolate, you get a lot of pimples or acne.

You could use Apricot Scrub, Persa Gel...there's alot of things that you can get to get rid of pimples. I use Persa Gel like all the time and my face is almost cleared up. And then like every night I scrub my face with Apricot Scrub. It really does work.
Stress can cause you to breakout, and also eating really oily foods can. It just depends on who you are. Like for me my skin gets oily from working out too much, stress, and eating oily foods. And thats why I wash my face every night and then put Persa Gel on before I put on makeup.
Hope that I could help. biggrin.gif

pimples suck yo. i hate them. you can get them from bacteria, like not washing your face, etc. but also from being really stressed out or not being healthy like, if your sleep cycle is all messed up. also, to help get rid of them, well drinking lots of water is supposed to help clease your skin of toxins i think so that is supposed to help also there are medicines.

oh man i know the pain of that. Well lemme tell yah now that STRIDEX is sooo bad for your skin. It strips away the natural oils (the good oils WITH the bad oils) and your skin is like "omg there is no oil on my face i gotta replenish!" and then your skin gets really oily which causes pimples, even more...and then plus the dirt, and stuff that gets on your face everyday. but some pimples you can't help becuase ur hormones are changing. but yah get off stridex. Clean and clear isn't bad, but you gotta figure out what kinda skin type you have. like oily, dry, mixed between the two? and get the stuff that best suits that type of skin. My skin is oily on my forehead, nose, and chin...but dry on my cheeks...so i use this cleanser and moisturizer that balances the two out...it works soo well...it's from the brand ORIGINS. and you can usually find it at like nordstroms our hechts, but it's a organic brand so some stores might not have it. if not that, then...Clinique works pretty good, also available at most stores like nordstroms and sears. but if you want the stuff from giant..then get clean & clear...phew, lol look i wrote a frickin book

You can get pimples from eating greasy/ fried foods. I use clean and clear the lotion and medicine in the grey bottles/ tubes with the purple cap. I where the medicine at night and the lotion during the day. When I have a bad breakout, it seems to clear it up within a week. Don't worry it smells good too! biggrin.gif .
