Ugh, yeah. Really tough. It used to be so easy. But now that I'm older...it's just...so hard.

yeah thats a toughy. its better though to tell him straight out, not in a mean way, but if you just kinda let him know in an off way, he may not get the point. just tell him that you want to be friends. he's gonna get hurt a little either way but its best.

Yah, it's hard.. be as nice as you can possibly be.. but make sure you still get your point across.

i used to like this guy for a long time
and he knew i liked him so he told me

"you're cute.
and i like saying those things to you because i know that you understand there's nothing more to that, we're just friends."

and immediately i knew tht he was trying to let me know that he doesn't like me... cry.gif

so you can try telling that person in that way...it might hurt less

Either way, he'll still be hurt. No matter what. I told a guy I just wanted to be friends, that I wasn't ready for a relationship, but at the same time, i did like him, but I wanted to get to know him better. It took him 2 years to tell me that when I said that to him, he was hurt. He didn't seem so when I told him that, but he really was. Of course that was 2 years ago lol.

Anyway, when my boyfriend first asked me out, I said no, that I wanted to be "just friends." After that, he got sad and he stopped tlaking to me. I felt so bad. I though he was cute, But I didn't want to like-like anyone just because they were cute, i wanted to like-like guys because of their personality, and I didn't know him long enough. I also wasn't ready for a relationship, and I still sorta liked the guy that I didn't date and yea. _unsure.gif So I was unsure of myself. But eventually, I gave my boyfriend a chance, and I'm SOO glad that I did. I feel so lucky that I gave him the chance.

All I can say is that it's going to be tough to break it to the guy, but you have to tell him. But at the same time, realize how much this guy might like you. Give people chances... You never know when you might end up rejecting "THE ONE."
