I am sooooooo upset right now. I just found out today that Mos Def is gonna be at the 9:30 Club tonight in DC. Anybody who knows me knows how big of a Mos Def fan. I would give anything to see that man perform live, to touch his hand, just to be in his presence! I would go if I could find somebody to go with but none of my friends are into Mos Def, let alone Underground Hip Hop music. Even my BF won't go with me, he accused me of being a "groupie". THE NERVE!
I am sooooo sad. Weep with me.  Dammit Pen, dammit Steve, why can't ya'll live in MD. |

Tic tic tic... its 6:18.... it starts at 8:30... it takes about 30-45 minutes to get there... and of course I need time to get ready so I can put on my hottest outfit so he can fall in love with me and ask me to marry him and procreate. Darn.
Man... see this ONE example of why we need to promote good artists. I can't believe none of my friends want to see him... |

DEFINITELY... it was a cool track but a "cool track" isn't enough for Mos Def... last two albums he's been on were classics... he can't come with subpar stuff... and I don't give props for "balls"... I have balls, so do I deserve props? LMFAO... jus' playin' but I respect "good music"... I don't care what form of music you make but you should stick to what you're good at... if you're not good at somethin' and try to do it, I won't like/respect it... I respect Mos Def for his achievements but if his next album doesn't show off his actual skill then I'm not coppin' that one either... |

Yeah, I found out last month that he was gonna be @ the 9:30 Club. I was sooooo pissed because I'm @ school in NY and I wouldn't've been able to go. It seems like all the good artists are coming to DC now that I'm in college
