Hey Pen, maybe instead of writing a comeback with a post, maybe you can rap it and put it on cB.
And hey, I got a formula on how all your comebacks work: Sarcasm + EgoInflation + Profanity + Insult + |"Get off the Nuts"|= Comeback So, since you've migrated to cB, trying to bore us uneducated people on hip-hop, you are just being the big fish in a little pond? Once again, no one cares. I think everyone has less respect for you because you choose to hide from real hiphop forums and choose to instead troll a xanga-making site. Yea, your image DOES suck. Seriously. I'm not insulting you. You're just acting pompous. Your image factually sucks. And once again, your comebacks are just not up to a standard of respect here on cB. |

QUOTE(Tag_youre_it @ Dec 4 2004, 3:18 AM) MarilynBettieLupe... you amaze me with your patience ![]() Everyone should listen 2 The Doors, & we'll share the "Universal Mind" of peace, TRUE freedom, and spirituality...not tryna sound like a hippie, but it's the best way of living, and the feeling is so beautiful, it's amazing. This guy really breaks it down how U feel when U listen 2 The Doors: Jim Morrison was a tortured, confused, brilliant, and desperate soul. His poetry and music is legendary. His work inspires me, as an artist, on a subconscious level; I feel a spiritual closeness, a contact with him. Maybe it's because I see myself in him, or perhaps he reaches me through the Universal Mind- the essence that connects us all, that we can all somehow understand and yet not really explain. When I listen to The Doors, I am taken away, to a place where the day-to-day ceases to exist, where there is real magic, wonder, danger, and inspiration. And inner freedom. That moment of Freedom... "I am a guide to the labyrinth" ...It is in that light that I create these handmade works of art, sometimes adapted from photos, other times not, but always they are images of Jim's poetry; they are like visions from the Other Side. I've met the Spirit of Music. And as with his poetry, my artwork aims to present possibilities, and achieve a broadening of inner sight and feeling. -Michael E. Fusco That is why I consider The Doors the best band ever...not just b/c of their music, but because the messages they bring across their music, and because the feeling they bring when U listen 2 them. Their music is THE ONLY music that I can actually feel. It's as if Jim Morrison's spirit is present when U listen 2 his word. THEY'RE JUST AMAZING...let's just leave it at that. |

it's good that you're trying to promote some underground artists but just because some people don't have the same taste in music as you do, you don't have to insult them.

Your topic's name is underground hip hop - stupid people, listen to it .... take away the comma and its stupid people listen to it .... a couple artists out of that first lists i like (royce da 5'9, common, mos def even though im not a really big fan of his latest album, kanye, and talib. also jr writer is a beast). but what i dont understand is why, when 50 wsa underground and everyone heard his stuff, they almost fell in love with him WHEN HE WAS UNDERGROUND, but then his album came out (get rich or die trying), and he got big, and everyoine either started hating him cause everyone else loved him, or joined the bandwagon and loved him. it puzzles me on that. i mean, if you liked his stuff b4, and you were a loyal fan then, why can he make his money, and eat off his first bIG album and provide for himself without all his "previous fans" hating on him. i admit, some of his stuff is some str8 sh!t, but 50 has got some stuff. but yeah, theres alot of crappy mainstream artists out there. and if you dont like them, then fcuk it. most mainstream rap nowadays is for parties anyways. if you want to listen to some deep hip-hop/rap, then either get underground or some real mainstream artists (ie, jay-z, nas, kanye, etc.). but the chingy, lil john, lil scrappy types... they are party music. cause to tell you the truth... i sure as hell dont want to listen to any underground hip hop at a party. so mainstream serves it purposes, and underground serves its purposes. it all depends on what you are doing, the type of music you like, and the artists' talent.
also pentheinstrument, you cant try to force everyone to listen to underground hip hop. if people like mainstream, then they do. people have diffrent tasts in music. and please try to restrict your cursing.. its kinda against hte rules to curse that much... |

Can I get more Mos Def links please? And Roots. I already got "Blackstar" and "The New Danger" so I don't need any songs off of those. I only have a few tracks off of "Black On Both Sides" but I would like the whole album... yooo hooo topheavy.

QUOTE(Tag_youre_it @ Dec 4 2004, 12:18 AM) MarilynBettieLupe... you amaze me with your patience But whatever. I got interested in Louis Logic So I googled him, and turns out he has a website (doesn't everybody?) Thinking that it would be just another one of those amateur sites, his turned out awesome, (but people under 14 shouldn't go okay promise?) As usual I went straight to the Media section and then the Lyrics section. =] guess what i found, a video of him live. That was sweet. Though I'm sure that wasn't the best live performance, it was enough. Next I checked out the Lyrics of The Ugly Truth, since it IS the first piece that I've heard from him. Yeaa some lines are insulting. Yet it is the truth. Even though it's kind of ugly. It made me wonder: but won't dark business men do the same thing if they had the chance to? ![]() I like. sorry for 3 posts in a row but i dont know if you understand but the ugly truth is accually from a perspective of a white man. see at the end he says something like "im late to my inauguration... right this way governor bush".. it was accually released before right after 2000 before september 11th... anyways heres some more louis logic songs.. its him and Jay Love as "the odd couple"... its from the CD The Odd Couple - Alcohol/Ism... check that out and also chec khis single album "sin-a-matic" out... without further ado The Odd Couple - Double Fisted http://s18.yousendit.com/d.aspx?id=2C15569...1D310EA07D03645 The Odd Couple - The Day I Was Born http://s15.yousendit.com/d.aspx?id=AB9EFED...FCA4E4E25D7501B The Odd Couple - Between Your Legs http://s15.yousendit.com/d.aspx?id=4AD7F08...F886C13A217215B Louis Logic Website http://www.louislogic.com/ Bonus Track (Bay Area Ish) Mr. Kee ft.
