it's been a really long time since i'd posted here, but i just made a new layout and thought i'd share it with all of you. awhile back i was actually one of the more extravagent xanga designers, but then went back to much more simple layout roots. anyway, here she is:

eh, the pic is nice, but its really really big. maybe if it was smaller. And it looks too default for my tastes. but props for making it. nice color choice too.

yea, i knew i'd get comments about its size and "defaultish" (seems to be the in-word here now
 ) look, but those are both things that i'd chosen on purpose. i like having the width to post big (640x480) pictures in my entries, i like having traditional modules on either side, and i like that you can look at my site and know it's a xanga without looking at the url. i like the consistency, basically, and i'm sure i'm not alone in that opinion.

I don't think it's "defaultish" at all! It looks pretty obvious to me that you put a good deal of effort into designing and coding the layout so everything looks good together. This is the type of skin I'd much rather see! gj

it's a little too defaultish for me, and yeah, adjust the width... maybe add some writing on the banner?

ok, i wanted to clean it up some and ended up removing left-side modules which allowed me to also shrink the banner size without losing entry width. what do you guys think? better or worse?
