ok, well i know a lot of people who like drop out college just to piss their parents off and stuff, and a lot of people hurt themselves (slit wrist......) just to prove a point. i mean, thats great, i guess you are very courageous and stands up for ur view, but i mean, isn't drop out of college and slit ur wrist a little too extreme? its like ur screwin with ur own life and i think its really dumb.. n e ways, just my opinion.

When people cut, they're not trying to prove a point. They just feel like they have no more alternatives. Yeah, we all know it's stupid, I know that. But when you're that low and depressed, you can't think straight anymore. You'd do anything just so that the emotional pain goes away, even if it was for a little while.

I used to cut. When I was feeling normal I'd think "Geez why the f*ck am I doing this? It's stupid." But when i get depressed again I didn't care. I just wanted to not think about everything for a while.

I think well some of my friends excuses for cutting is it takes their mind of of emotional pain, and instead feels physical pain. I guess it jus makes them forget about their problems, and focuses on something else. As for dropping out of college, it's their choice, i just don't get why they would pay so much money, or waste their parents money. I'd just tell my mom that i'm gonna go to college for whatever i want, and if she still wants to help me, then i appreciate it. If not i'll pay for my own way. Maybe kids just need the money for college, so they do what their parents want

why would someone do that? well sometimes ppl are just like that. some ppl are just depressed [this is for the slitting wrists]. besides slitting wrists is more of an emotional problem. they're not trying to prove a point. and if they were then i can bet that they're only looking for attn. not to end their lives.

as for dropped out of college just to piss of your parents, that's there choice. if they got into college, they should be smart enough to know what they're getting themselves into and should hopefully have a bigger reason to drop out other than parents.
