pinch.gif Ok. SO here's what I've got. I have my gradnfathers comp running off of windows 98 and we need to record something off a mic onto a cd. does anyone know a simple program that's on the net that I could find so that I could do this? PLease, this is really important. _unsure.gif

You can use the voice recorder thing (go to start, programs, accesories, entertainment, then sound recorder) and then save it. The open it on windows media player, and play it. The select "Copy to cd or device" and you should be set =)

pinch.gif Alright, so, I have the sound recorder from entertainment reinstalled. but now, (even though my mic is working) it still wont let me record... what can I do? anyone, please... your help would be greatly appricated. This is for my grandpa's work... how to? cry.gif

i dont really know sound recording and stuff, but go to your volume settings and for where it says mic, make it so its on. dunno if that helped
