Is burning cd's illegal? because some people say it is and i disagree. Isn't better if u just burn the songs u want to hear in ur car or ur cd player whatever instead of the just spending the money to buy them? its just that it has poor cd quality but its still useful.

It's only illegal if you burn the CD and then sell it. Or, at least that's what my dad says.

yeah, esp. if it has an "FBI Anti-Piracy Warning" on the CD.
if you have the Co&Ca - Keeping Secrets of Silent Earth: 3 you`ll know what i'm saying.

yeh it was supposed to be illegal, but a lot of people out there still downloads music and burns them into their blank cds. it depends on the singer's mood whether they like it or not and if they don't like it, you are a dead meat then.

well, _dry.gif if ur burning FREE songs off the internet it is definitly illegal. yes, i know it's waay more reasonable n convenient to just get the songs u want, but u can download them leagally by paying about 1.00 or so, which isnt so much compared 2 the whole cds, but if ur burning a cd u already bought n making a copy of it, it's not illegal(i dont think, not sure, i do THIS all the time! but just for me & gifts for friends. i dun sell em or ne thing) if you have a bought-for program n stuff. but yeah, maybe consider an i-pod!! happy.gif biggrin.gif

1) Wrong forum. Should be in Debate

2) Already another topic in Debate. Therefore this thread should be CLOSED.

Burning CDs isn't illegal if they actually market and sell a CD burner.

That's true...but downloading songs illegally and burning them onto CD's is illegal. So it depends what you burn onto your CD's.

my_papaya, why is it that if Jason makes it, it's not a debatable topic? Why is it "just the way it is?" Is Jason programmed to make threads that aren't debatable? Besides, this could obviously go on to moral issues and therefore CAN go in debate. There are a lot of better points in the debate section, that's all I'm saying.
