cutting a picture?

Ok.. if i want to make a blend.. and i'm making it on someone.. how do i cut ONLY the person using photoshop?

do you mean cut the person out and just leave the background there? with a hole where the person use to be?

or do you mean cut th person out so that only the person is left?

Cutting the person only and leave the background. As in, I don't want the background.

lol ok then. first open up ur image (duh). Now go to filter and select extract. (it should be there if you have PS 7.0, but i dont know where it is in any otyher version.) So a window will popup with your image in it. Select the marker in the top left and hi light whatever you want, which in your case would be the person. Remember just outline it with marker. When youre done select the bucket and fill the thing uve outlined with the marker and press Preview.

ANd thats it.

Im not good at extracting my images perfectly so i tend to avoid that kind of stuff. But I know what to do. whistling.gif
