i just told mah best friend that i had a crush on him last night.. and i have never ever told a guy i liked him before he told me.. and he said hes not sure because he doesnt wanna lose me as a friend.. so he rather just be best friends.. and currentlii im talkin to him and i guess we're both kinda pretending it didnt happen.. but i cant help but feel hurt.. reallii reallii reallii hurt...

as time passes by, you'll like the relationship that you two have. and it's really precious to have a guy that is your best friend. he'll always be there for you even if you guys are not together.

the exact same thing happened to me over the summer.
i was heartbroken too, but i'm getting over it. we're still really good friends, and hey, he's not as likely to ditch you as he would a girlfriend. |

aw babe, ive had the same experience. i liked my friend austin, when i told him, it was uncomfortable at first but then he learned that it was better for the friendship when we were honest with eachother.

Same situation happened to me just a week or so ago.. Me and my guy friend ended up going out though. If you really like him and you really want to know, talk to him about it. Ask him if he likes you at all, and if the only reason why he doesn't want to go out is because he doesn't want to put a friendship in risk. If he just doesn't want to ruin it and he doesn't see you that way.. then you'll get over it sooner or later. But if he does, then you guys will work it out

You sorta feel rejected, huh?
You know, it's funny, I was talking to my friend about this the night before. See, the funny thing is that the guy you like cannot be your best friend because if you like him, you might never have a chance with him because he might only see you as a friend, OR he might like you but since you two were friends for so long, it will be awkward to date someone that was so close. I know a guy that like a good friend of his.. he never said anything to her about it. He didn't want it to be awkward and most of all, she might not like-like him. AND, on the other hand, you cannot jump into the relationship right when you meet the guy beause you might not know mucha bout the guy. Yea sure, you might learn to like/love him more, the more time you spend with him and date him and get to know each other. But, there's always the chance that JUST MAYBE, you might not like the type of person he really is. So basically, you can't be best friends with him, nor can you meet him and date him instantly. You have to be somewhat of an acquaintance, but still a friend whom you see occasionally, not too frequent. But hey, that's just my opinion. This is just from my perspective, because I've seen this happen. It's really tough to tell him because maybe deep down he might like you, but it might be really wierd/awkward... It could work... But you two might feel to much like brother and sister. |

At the beginning of this year, my best friend and I started to like each other. After a lot of things that stopped us from getting together, two days ago we became bf and gf and passionate at that. Best friends can make best bf / gfs as well, but usually only if you two have enough maturity to make it happen. I wouldn't know if you did or not, so I can't say. |

Aww that's that best kind of relationships too! I'd hate to say this but it was smart of him to not take it to the next level because it hurts more when he dumps you. Trust me I got dumped by my best friend and it just sucked. It was like " Holy cats! Not even my best friend wants to be with me!", it made me feel as if that if he can't like me how can i expect someone else to. It was dramatic of me to think something like that, but GRRRRURG. stupid boy! Be grateful he didn't freak out and started ignoring you. I'd rather still have a best friend than have that awkwardness that comes when being exes.
