Look, just because she doesn't have 'asian pride' or whatever, doesn't mean that she has to go around saying 'W'dup cha'll!? Azian pryde to tha fullezt, man! Ya hurd?', doesn't mean she's ashamed of being asian. Look, I'm hispanic and white. When people usually sk me what what race I am, I say I'm hispanic. I don't really feel like a white person. Why? Cuz I grew around hispanics for all of my life and my town is barely filled up with white people, so I'm kinda used to seeing a lot of hispanics around. But if someone asked me wether I am white or not, I would admit it and tell the truth. But am I ashamed for being white? No. Maybe it's the same for her. Just ask her and have a little talk with her (don't start a fight). But if she denies being asian, then that could be a little problem.

its not really any of your business so i wouldnt force her to do things she isnt comfortable doing. when she grows up, she'll probably have more pride in her heritage... it also has to do with how she was raised... was asian culture more dominant in her upbringing, or was it even there at all? i dont think that she should disclude herself from being asian, while just telling people that she's "white," but hey, thats her deal, and it aint no thang.

But Davon, maybe she doesn't want to be like " i'm the only asian girl so i effing rock" what's the big deal? she doesn't always have to be proud of her nationality. and plus, she's only half-asian....so what's wrong with her calling herself white? i don't know why this is sucha big deal...o_o

If any of you watched American's Next Top Model season two, there's this girl who's half white and half asian. Even though she's looks completely asian, she still say that she's white and try to deny the fact that she is asian. I mean, if you are mixed, then you should be happy cuz you are lucky enough to experience both family bg. And for people who say leave her alone, get real, we are not saying this to her face and just discussing this with our own opinion. And it's not like the topic starter is shoving this in her face and tell her that she sucks or anything like that. She just want to show her opionion and ask our's, so give yours or shut up.

WTF are you talking about. We are giving our opinions, that is what the topic starter intended when he/she started this thread. If he/she wanted a one-sided opinion, i.e that her Asian/White friend is wrong for denying half of who she is, then maybe the topic starter shouldn't have posted anything in the first place.
