pre ap but teachers call it ap all the time, so its like whatever.

ah, i see. we dont have pre-ap either. in 9th (and 6th and now for that matter) i was in gifted, which was the highest level here. so maybe thats why we read it so early

the scarlet letter, obviously by hawthorne. it was disappointing. as a classic, i thought it would be better, but it didnt even have a real plot.

other than that, which was for school, i read the original novella that came to be enders game. it was lovely. card is excellent

oh, and as for your choices, angels and demons was great. and the one on anne boelyn sounds interesting too- i love that time period

yeah, my english class just finished The Scarlet Letter too. Eh, it was OK. Now, we're reading Uncle Tom's Cabin by Harriet Beecher Stowe. This book is interesting. Not for school, I'm trying to read The Elegant Universe- which my friend suggested- but its a physicsy book and kinda hard to understand.

Yesterday - Go Ask Alice
Just finished - The Unwanted, John Saul
^ that book dissappointed me. It was long, and it made me kept on reading, but it was too predictable, yet it had a nice twist to it, but the ending f**king sucked.
Currently - Allies of the Night, Darren Shan

I finsihed Number the Stars by Lois Lowery. I've read that book so many times. I throb.gif it. I've also finsihed the 11th book in the Series of Unfortunate Events By Lemony Snicket. It's titled the Grim Grotto. That was also a good book.

Like Roxanne, I also want to read Pandora's Box

yeah, i read number the stars like 4 times too, but after we read it in class in 5th grade, it got old. and series of unfortunate events couldve been ok, if they didnt define all those damn words all the time

i read tkmb as my summer reading book pre 9th grade. it was quite good, but my teacher overelaborated on the symbolism. city of the beasts is by isabel allende, and i agree, its really good. theres also a couple of seuals to that have come out recently. and i havent gotten past page 4 in the graps of wrath

that was really good. i know people say hes a really crap author, but the books are intellegent and intriguing

For school I'm reading Shakespeares Julius Caesar and it sucks. The last book I read willingly was the Lord of the Rings trilogy during the summer.
