i guess that it is fine. if people want to change what god gave them, and lose all of that money, then it is alright with me. _smile.gif

I think its one of the most horrible things... like if it was used for good thats alright. like maybe if you lost weight and then you had over left over skin.. that stuff is alright.. but now soo many people get plastic surgery... they even advertise it on tv so much.. including the show "THE SWAN" that show is horrible. i think you are just making yourself more unatural with all that added foreign materials in your body and not to mention it can be very dangerous.

I'm kinda torn on this topic because my aunt just got a nose job done.

In a nutshell, I think that for pure cosmetic reasons (like some celebrities do) then its not ok. It is purely unnecessary and not to mention very traumatic to one's body (Michael Jackson, anyone?). Then on the other hand, if a person has an accident or something to that matter that is utterly disfiguring, then plastic surgery is perfectly fine by me.

I don't know... I guess I'm just for surgery that's life saving and life changing (not cosmetically), not things done to "boost" your sefl confidence or just to look better. A person should be happy with what they have or find other not so invasive ways to change it (like a simple attitude adjustment does wonders on some people).

hmm i guess it depends. if people want to make themselves look better to boost their self-confidence and such then yeah sure. but as long as you don't go too far, y'know?

I think unless that person is really hideous or he/she had a terrible accident or something, having plastic sugery is rather ridiculous. I mean, why can't you just try accepting your appearance and body instead of trying to change it?

And although it seems like many people look prettier and more good-looking after having plastic sugeries, but mostly plastic sugeries don't turn out that good. Moreover, it's something unrevertable; you can't regret and change back to how you looked like before you had plastic sugery.

So to those people who are considering having plastic sugeries: Think a billion times before you pay lots of money to change your natural appearance.

I don't really care, what people do with themselves and their body is not my business. I mean, if it makes you happy and makes you feel better about yourself, then more power to you.

Although I'm not even nearly 100% pleased with my body or face, I personally wouldn't do anything to change myself. I think imperfections are what make people interesting... why would you want to be "perfect".

I've had the option of getting my birthmark removed (the one on my left cheek). My insurance would pay for it. Although this birthmark had been and still continues to be the cause of much teasing and odd stares, I've chosen to keep it. I've grown to like it, I think it's "unique".

i personally would not go under the knife unless it benifitted to my health. for example, breast reduction for back problem...rhinoplasty, for blocked nasal passages...etc.
i also however, think that if you can do something to make you feel better about yourself, then why not? it's just that people go a little to far.
it's kind of like, messing with nature.

I honestly don't support it because I think people should stay the way God created them.

But my boyfriend's dad, who has been more a father to me than my own dad, is a plastic surgeon, so yeah.

i think its up to them. i mean if they aren't satisfied with what god gave them. then i say do to your will. but personally i dont really think anyone would need to undergo plastic surgery. because i actually do think most people are really beautiful as long as they just have a fabulous personality to go with it. but me myself wouldnt do plastic surgery because sometimes theyr can be risks &im satisfied with the way i am.

I'm against it, but I also agree with xquizit. If you have something like a birthmark some people want to get that removed. I have one on the back of my right hip. The only problem is even though its not that big, the doctors are saying it could cause cancer and to get it checked every so often. Right now it hasn't done any harm so I'm not getting it removed, but if it causes cancer then obviously I will. Stuff like that I understand.

But if your like Michael Jackson, always getting your nose done, then i'm against it. You have to learn to like what God gave you. He most liekly gave it to you for a reason.

I got a nose job a month and a half ago. ermm.gif

It really does have to do with the person getting the surgery and how they feel about themselves. Whether someone wants to go through with it or not, it should only be up to them and they shouldn't have to be judged for it, you know? If they are willing to go through with it and pay for it, then go right ahead.

I got my nose job because I hated my nose and it's something I was very unpleased with and self conscience about.

Some people just don't know what other people are going through or what their motives are, so you really shouldn't be so quick to judge... -_-

Well I personally don't think there's anything wrong with it. My rule is: if it makes you happy, and it doesn't screw other people over, do it.

Personally, I would never do it, unless my life depended it. People who do get plastic surgery probably get it because they're unhappy with certain parts of themselves, and that's fine, 'cause it's their body and their choice.

i think its great if your unhappy with yourself and you just need a self confidence boost. but you can't be stupid into it, you have to be aware of the risks. but its a personal decision and if anyone brings up money remember its THEIR money not yours...i mean if you really want it and save up your money it wouldn't make you spoiled if you just wanna do something nice for yourself once and a while. and bypass is great if you know your overweight and all but some people are retarded, and lazy when it comes to that. some people actually CAN lose the weight. but bypass is grreat for people who really need help and cant lose it and its like deathly.

i hate that show. "oh lets pick out ugly people!" they're telling the people they're ugly and then making them into something they're not..if they really wanted to look better..then they'd get new clothes and put on some makeup and lose weight.

it depends on what kind of surgery it is..if the girl has 28 A boobs and she wants to be a 28 B or something cause her shirts don't fit right and she has to get really small shirts, then fine..just don't make it ridiculous like DD or something. and i don't like weight loss/skinny making surgery unless it's like, necessary (for people who are like 400 pounds). and if you have leftover skin from losing weight, that's ok too, cause you took it upon yourself to improve something you didn't like. the only thing i have a problem with is people who have surgery and make themselves look like barbies. _dry.gif

i think it's fine.
it's their own body and they can choose to do whatever they want to it.

what i do have a problem with, is when someone gets it done multiple times, and also when they overdo it.

double eyelid surgery, nose surgery, jawline surgery, facelift, etc...those are fine, but things like lyposuction..no.

plastic surgery is, in short, surgery.

surgery is never good. it consists of slashing you open, letting you bleed, moving some stuff, and hoping it doesn't get infected.

well yes there are medicines but also risks.

hell.. i want sankapul soosool (asian-double eyelid), nose job, bigger chest, cheek implants... etc...

if I reallllllllllllllllllyyyyyy want it...ill get it..

it all depends on the person.. it's THEIR body ..its THEIR decision... no matter how much you lecture them about it.. if they REALLY want it .. they'll get it..

that's that
