Some of those movies, I haven't seen, but out of the ones I have seen, I'd say A Nightmare on Elm St. Freddy haunted my sleep for a couple nights. _unsure.gif ph34r.gif

The Grudge and Thirteen Ghosts. I chose 13 ghosts ahha becuase I didn't see The Grudge as one of the options.. My eyes are bad pinch.gif

They both are really scary movies, IMO. *shivers*

As crazy as it sounds I haven't seen ANY of these movies. The movie I always thought was scary when I was little was the movie called "It". That and when I was little"Chucky" used to scare me, how silly.

-=>Original late 70s/80s <= Dawn of dead rules all
Remake average, does no justice to original (commercials made it look intense as hell..C'mon -> Olympic trackstar zombies, thats intense)

-60s/70sNight of the living dead:
Scary from the whole old hollywood black and white screen, old hollywood acting style (i.e. stiff dialogue, use of facial expressions). Also set in the south (GA? ALA?Ms?) with the quaint, southern style homes with the porches. One single porch light lit on the outside of the house while the foreground is pitch black, illuminating masses of zombies.

-28 days Later:
Hype after made (rented when it was released). Borderline good. Just the got into the hype, brought down my expectations when saw.

-Exorcist
Was when I was 7. Spook factor now ;D

Texas Chainsaw Massacre:
Never saw Original (and musta been way more scary due to the gritty feel and look)
Remake, again hype and commericials.
And no Not Based off of a True story. The creator was in a department store where a rack of chainsaws were on-sale/clearance. More like Inspired . If you want to use Based & Inspired. Then modeled after Ed Gein. Who also inspired a slew of movies (Silence of the Lambs, Psycho).

-First few Jasons, 1st Freddie, 1st Michael Myers:
All scary, especially since being 5-7, seeing only clips and parts was enough. After watching in its full glory, never saw why was scary (but still the originals were king).
