i think they both may end up doing it, but the difference would be in who was drafted

Excuse this double post, but I needed to respond to this one.

The draft bill was defeated soundly, I think only two people voted in favor of it (I think one was Charlie Rangel of New York, but I'm not sure).

Neither side wanted a draft. The whole draft deal was a scare tactic.

i'm glad that GWB is still our president. yes i voted for him. but i gotta give props to kerry's speech. it was done in an awesome manner. but people shouldnt be bitter that the person they wanted to be president isnt. STOP saying that u want to move to another country now because you think bush is gonna ruin this country. ppl are always gonna think that the president was crappy...haha i bet if kerry got elected, four years from now we'd be hearing the same complaint.

He has lowered taxes, helped schools across America. And most importantly, he has protected the US from the threat of terrorism and evil doers

i agree with kryogenic. hes done a lot for this country...kept us safe.

it has been said that the reason so many people voted for bush was because of their moral values. _dry.gif can you believe it? the american people didn`t like that fact that kerry supported abortions and stem cell research. geeze....

What has he done? He brought us back from the recession that we inherited from Bill Clinton. He has lowered taxes, helped schools across America. And most importantly, he has protected the US from the threat of terrorism and evil doers.

well acctually (sp?) he lowered taxes for rich ppl, messed up students like me who like public schools and have to wait for everyone in the class to catch up with all the other people who don't understand it. And then i have to be in my senior year, trying to figure out if I can compete against a private school student! To me bush is twofaced..how can your partner's daughter be gay but you guys are against it also how can you every buniness you've owned failed but run a country?

Yal need to start reading facts and not what you hear from other people! Its some of you people that voted for Bush that makes this country so damn ignorant and hated by others. How has Bush made this country safe? He should of never had to do that! 9/11 should of never happened and Homeland Security wouldn't have been necessary. I personally still do not feel safe. The land of the free right? Then why don't I feel free... Every year that passes our personal security is getting more and more open. We won't have privacy sooner or later. One thing on this war on Iraq, Bush did the worst thing any person can do. He sent our troops over there and more and more are dying with each passing day. Why not give another person a chance?

Sorry to act to much of a Liberal Democrat.

It made me physically sick to find out that Bush is going to eff up the country for the next four years. Literally. As soon as they said Kerry conceded, I got a headache. It lasted the rest of the day.

those actually were some of the basis of why i voted for him (bush). some people vote with their conscience, and there really isnt anything wrong with that. its just like people voting within their party. yes im a democratic but i dont vote for people just because they're democrats.

yea its horrible that troops had to be sent to war. but think about this approximately 1,370,000 unborn children are aborted annually in america. see all the babies that never got the chance to live because of abortion still being legel in this country? idk i just had to say that. _smile.gif

What are you talking about? That's just liberal propoganda, which you've taken as fact. EVERYONE got tax cuts. My family got a rebate, and we aren't rich. You also misunderstand the No Child Left Behind act. Bush two faced? What does d*ck Cheney's daughter have to do with Bush's morals? Your logic is off as well with the businesses. If that was true, Bill Gates and Donald Trump would make a good President. Thankfully, we all don't think like you.

It sucks that Bush won...so many people at school were also dissappointed. Haha, one of my substitutes called all the states in the middle of the country 'idiotic and ignorant'.
XD
It was hilarious. She went off. She brought up some good points though.

Your teacher is a god damned dimwit.

You realize about 6 of the states in the midwest were swing states, right?

It's called being the better campaigner.

Bush won 59+ million to 55+ million...

If Kerry had won the Electoral votes, everyone that b*tched and moaned in 2000 about Bush's victory would be a damn hypocrite.

because people are too ashamed to have backed the losing candidate.

Hmmm, I wouldn't mind the left-opposition moving away from the US, I guess.

Yes it is.

I personally would not go to Canada. I have pride in our country and that is a major reason why I didn't want Bush re-elected. Moving to Canada or having your state secede would be the wrong thing to do in my honest opinion.
