i've never heard of anyone eating ostriches blink.gif

but i suppose someone hearing of someone eating a dog or something, it strikes us as cruel because people keep those as pets. i suppose those who keep cows as pets (and don't eat them) see eating cows as cruel as well.

you cannot create equality within food.. its peole cultures and what is socially accepted, yet pl cannot get over the fact on what people do... i hate people that are disgusted at what cultures eat... like dogs in china or guinea pigs...yet they themselves are hipocrits(sp) becauser they eat cow whach in hindu belief is god....

The reason why animals are treated differently is mainly because of the way they look. Humans are more likely to be nicer to a mammal animal (horse, cat, dog) rather than an insect. Or anything that isn't cute and furry. That's why...I don't think it's cruel to eat Ostrich meat. It's just weird because I guess I am so used to cows being eaten. I do remember my Dad's friend brought over some Ostrich jerky over one time. I didn't eat it because 1) I am picky and 2) Eww. That doesn't sound good.

It's not cruel to eat ostrich meat because they aren't "cute and fuzzy"? mellow.gif
