So?

It was thirtysome years ago, people should stop focusing on it. It's no secret that most veterans are republican.

Stop focusing on it? Watch it before you judge it. You can't judge a book by it's cover.

Exactly like flipping off a camera, dodging the draft, doing drugs . . . should I go on?

Plus the people who made this film are extremely biased.

no you shouldnt. John Kerry is a straight faced liar who has no pride in his country. Now you want to elect him as your leader because the best proof is thirty years ago. Talk about ignorant.

It was Vietnam, no one coming back had pride for their country! They were being spit on when they came back. I'm so sure if you would've gone, you would've felt no pride for your country.

Maybe you don't understand just how controversial a war Vietnam was. I suggest you research the subject before you bash Kerry.

It was only controversial because of people like john kerry and jane fonda. People who lied to the people while aiding and helping the enemy. Our soldiers were spit on because of their lies.

I have to agree there sikdragon. Many people in the Vietnamese community dislike Kerry for that reason.

ugh. this is rubbish. there was a report on NPR about an investigation on Kerry's accusations a while back. the investigators discovered many classified files pertaining to the vietnam war, and managed to get the declassified. in them they found detailed descriptions of a "Tiger Force" regiment that did indeed commit these war crimes. this "documentary" is so comically biased it might as well have been a Fox production.

what i also would like to ask is how people can call kerry a liar when bush has been shoveling his WMD bullshit to the american people with reckless abandon. the bush administration knows that they are lies and they're now covering them up with "hey guys we got saddam! isn't that cool!" even though that was not a reason for this war. Bush has brought colossal shame to our country and if he is reelected we endorse this barbarism, and that is a choice we cannot afford.

no it was controversial because almost all of the country did not want to go to war. Our soldiers were spit on because they had to kill children, the children carried bombs. Get your facts straight hun before you go and start b*tching.

yes, there was some atrocities commited, but it was an isolated incident (Stolen Honor makes reference to this).

You are incorrect in calling Bush a liar. Intelligence agencies worldwide said Iraq had WMDs. It would be more correct to call him misinformed. Also, there is some good that came out of Iraq. Saddam is out of power and we've found out that some of our friends (and the UN) aren't really as friendly as we thought they were. Bush is not a liar, and he is not a barbarian.

What good has come out of Kerry's lies? He has blasphemed the names of those who served in Vietnam and he aids the enemy as well. And 30 years later, he brags about his service in Vietnam. Who's the barbarian now?

ignorant? Your focusing on some tape thats biased on something 20 some years ago. There are more important things. ignorant? with the talk about gay marrige and abortion and the war and terrorisim your telling us we are ignorant? i think you need to rearrange your priorities.

First off, just let me say I hate politics due to the simple fact that no one is working together but instead always going against each other. They never show both sides. Information shown is always one-sided.. This clip shows my point.

Dude.. Ok for one, the movie is biased either way you look at it because for the simple fact that it's attacking Kerry, nothing else. It's not saying the good things he did and more importantly, it doesn't address anything good and bad that Bush did. Second, saying that this clip is all the means for going against Kerry utterly not founded. War is war. It brings out the best in the worst of all people. Period.

So.. torture is worse than death? Just to let you know, only a total of 114 were captured and died. There were only about 58000 Amercian casualties compared to the over 2 million (<< number may be larger) Vietnamese casualties. So.. For about every 58 Americans dying, there were 2000 Vietnamese dying.

Stats
More Stats (Bottom Under: The Price of War.)

One thing I agree on is the falsification of information and the implication of being bad soldiers. Should we find out the truth? Yes. Will we ever completely know the truth? No. And that's just how life is. Secrets are held for a reason. What should be done about it now? Apologize and get over it. Don't let the bad overshadow the genuine good.

Oi.. Politics..

This is still a documentary backed up by facts as opposed to farenheit 9/11 which was just 2 hours of bush bashing backed up by opinion.

i'm sorry... i don't belive you understand.

farenheit 9/11 isn't opinion. everything in it is factual.

it is, however, biased to be bush bashing by leaving out facts. that doesn't make the ones in it lies, however.

on the note of vietnam: we were giving money to a dictator not much different from sadamn because the majority of the people wanted communisim and the US didn't want communism to spread.

that would be why our soilders were spit on.

Mr. Acid, I like you and all, you know that right?

Please tell me who's the dictator you're refering to? Please don't say Ngo Dinh Diem because I will eat you alive again.

One of the reason why the "majority" of the people followed communism was because they were THREATENED with death of their families or themselves.
