Pens, of course... Pencil wears off and fades after a while. Pen is crisp and dark. Very professional.

ehh..i use pens more..considering that i have a humongous bag of it...due to my living enviroment in taiwan..which is very close to japan, and we get influenced with their "latest technology" quite alot.

i only use pencil when it is required and when i`m in math class..

My teachers let us use whatever we want. In past years, it's been required for us to use pencil in math but my teacher this year doesn't care (first-year teacher so she's not annoyed of scribbles yet). We have to use pencils on tests, though, because almost all of our tests are done on scantrons and the scantron machines can only read #2 pencils. I prefer pen, however. It's much smoother than a pencil. Plus, whenever I write with a pencil, it always squeaks from the way that I hold it.
