hey, my friend at school got gmail and i just was wondering what is is about. i forgot to ask her about it. i searched online, but i wasn't sure how to get one. can anyone help me out? thanks!

Gmail basically stands for googlemail. It's a little thing Google is testing to see how it would turn out. You can only get it when people "invite" you.
They get 6 invites, and therefore are eligible to invite any of their 6 friends. You have 1000mb (=gigabyte) storage so you never have to delete an email. You can also search for emails with key factors and such. Yeah, I have one but I don't use it that much. |

to me, gmail is another email type of thing. not really any different from yahoo or msn or hotmail and such.. just has a bigger inbox i think???
