I have dated Chinese, Korean and white guys. I prefer Korean guys more. Perhaps it's because I'm Korean-washed, I find all Korean guys extermely sexy or hot. And it seems this thing is beginning to catch on because I'm beginning to find all Korean girls hot too. ><

i prefer asian guys.. preferably vietnamese.. just cuz i find im more comfortable around people of the same culture as me.. its not racist or anything, but it just makes things so much easier when i bring them home... they know the deal.. haha "chao bac" and all that, and they can eat dinner with us without mistaking "nuoc mam" with "nuoc mau.."
and they celebrate the same holidays... and they understand how strict my parents are, etc, etc... its just easier.. and i dont have to talk english >.< you may not have thought so, but it's sometimes hard for me to speak english, just cuz its like.. my 4th language.. sometimes i cant find the right words lol, so it's easier just to speak vietnamese, or french. thats just a preference though.. i mean, if i find someone i like, i'll date them regardless of their ethnicity. |

I tend to like guys in a full range of nationalities. Like, I've had the hots for asian guys (these guys were specifically Chinese and Korean), Russians, African (as in, from africa), African Americans, British, German, French, etc etc. Yes, I know that is a lot. But I've had a lot of experience with different cultures. ^.^
So, I can't say I like one more than the other. It all just flows with me.

Well.
I've only ever dated one person, and he was white.. I don't really have a preference.. and my state is highly populated with whites, so I probably won't ever date anyone else. [shrug] Maybe I will, but that's hard to tell at this point in time. |

as far as dating goes im not particular about nationality, but i swoon after boys with british or australian accents. our school hosted british exchange students last year and im not sure what it is about them, but i melt when they talk!

well i've only dated asian guys so far... I guess since it's easier to relate to one another... they aren't freaked about eating diniguan (sp?) the 'chocolate meat' or whatever.. they celebrate the same holidays.. etc.

i date white guys. .i mean, dont get me wrong, i'm not racist but i want my kids to be white as well... with blonde hair (curly) hehe. I grew up in a city that has all white people... there were two hispanic people (nd they were mexican american) and a total of 4 black people... then a few mingled of other nationalities.. but it was basically all white.. so moving to houston is a total culture shock.. then getting on cb was another totaly culture shock. lol.

I've dated viets,flips,hawaiin,puerto rican,mexican,brazillian,frenchie,caucasion,korean,black, and a variety of mixed chicks... yea... when people say/think im racist just cuz i use bag words that are offensive...i laugh :-D
And my preference is... Well... u need to be decent looking atleast... great personality, somewhat good body,not too skinny,and not too thick u know... Hair color - doesnt matter, eye color - doesnt matter... Um... nationality i'de prefer... i dont really care, as long as i can click with them ya know? I honestly will say i doubt i will ever date an indian ish chick...sorry if i offend anyone , thats just yea... im not interested And people who get the impression im shallow from this..u dont know me nigga!~! |

I prefer European guys because that's what I can relate to. Even though I wasn't born over there, we have a lot of family in Poland, Germany, Scotland, and England and I guess it's what I am used to (well the Americanized version at least). Don't get me wrong, I don't have anything against guys of other ethnicities, in fact I've dated a lot of other guys from different races and backgrounds but, for me, it's just easier to date somebody that you can relate to.

I have read all of your comments and this is what I have gathered so far: it comes down to "relating." Of course there are differences in cultures among different nationalities, and with the Vietnamese, Filipino, and other SE Asian nationalities being relatively new here, these cultural differences do play a big part in who we choose to date. However, barring these superficial differences, what really attracts you to someone? Is there a personality type, physical quality, or what have you, that makes one person more desirable than the next? For me, I would have to say that I've dated people from all sorts of various nationalities, but what really clinched the deal for me was the fact that she definitely needed to be easy going and not uptight. I have a playful demeanor and as such, women who do not take themselves or life, in general, too seriously catch my eye. I'd rather have an average-looking woman with personality than a great-looking who can't relax.
