but then they yell at you if you pull up an old thread. |

Yep.
I'm going to have to agree with you on that one. I've seen a lot of people whine about it when people bring back old threads.. but yet they whine when people re-create them, and just give them that same link, anyway. -_- Yeah, the no spam rule's a good one to have.. but you should let them do at least one. Either don't whine about old threads coming back, or have repeat topics. I know sometimes old threads attract spam, but still.. I think one should be acceptable out of the two choices. |

If it's only a couple days old then you should be able to post in that. But if its like, months old then you should be able to create a new topic

Well I'm presuming most of the happens at the xanga help section (or related forums) because people don't want to keep repeating themselves to answer the same question all over and over again. Anyways.. as for bumping old topics, I don't really care.

Yeah. It kind of depends on the thread.. if it's somewhat unique, then I think it's okay to bring it back from the dead. If it's just like any other n00bular thread nowadays.. then no. I don't think it's a very good idea to bring it back from the dead.
