it's hard to resist when you put yourself in the ideal position to be insulted. i don't see how it was careless to mention communism when i was talking about political extremes. what good does it make to point out communistic aspects of kerry when i don't find them as frightening as bush's extreme conservatism?

Bush' extreme conservatism?

All the money he spent on foreign war is conservative?

Well, we can't expect a political paragon every term, can we?

Exactly, and now that we've seen that Bush is incompetent to be President for another 4 years why bother voting for him again.

-Back on topic-

Even if he was cheating it's sad to see that he couldn't come up with better answers.

I don't see how electing one incompetent candidate to fill the role of the current president will do any good, may be you can explain?

And back to topic, where did that picture originated from? Yes, I am questioning the credibility of the picture itself until someone can tell me where it came from.

I recall someone (cornflakes) saying in another thread that we should take all threats seriously to ensure the safety of all American people.

So now I don't quite understand where you guys (anti-war people) are coming from if you think taking threats seriously is stupid. Should we or should we not take threats seriously? And please make up your minds this time.

i know we're supposed to be ignoring each other but thiis is important. the rational is that we should take precautionary steps to minimize casualties at home and the like, but we should not be sending our armies to bomb the shit out of small countries just because they say they'll kill us. does that make sense or am i not reading CAREFULLY enough?

Correct me if I'm wrong, but this is the "Did Bush Cheat During The Debate" thread, not the "War on Terror" one.

laugh at it, but that is a clear problem with the Kerry ticket. Kerry and Edwards are the 1st and 4th most liberal senators, respectively. Is that good for America, to have such an extreme executive branch?

Yes. wink.gif

P.S. I'm just as liberal as them. But don't hate me because of it.

An article from CNN provided by inlonelinessidie states that Bush did take precautionary measures and assessed the situation with Cheney all before 9/11. It's clearly Intelligence's fault that what was being said is supposedly wrong.

What will it takes to appease you people? One person says he didn't do enough to protect the country and it's his fault that 9/11 and other problems happened while the other say that he didn't do nearly enough.

No, no, you're absolutely correct. Though I must say these threads all end up the same way: bashing Bush.

well, as our name implies, an end to war is what we seek. whether or not bush is at fault for 9/11 or not is more or less periphery to the heart of the matter, which is the way he reacted to it. protecting america is not "preemptive strikes" and rubbish like shock and awe, but keeping the people informed and strengthening defenses at home.

Anyone here ever try talking while listening to someone at the same time?
Hrmm?
With popular opinion (actually, it's damn true) stating that Bush is basically a flat out illiterate retard, how could he have handled listening to answers and restating them in a live debate?
I find it awfully hard.

back to DID BUSH CHEAT

(i'm referring to the 2nd debate)
1) his "now let me finish" statement was to that moderator. if you didn't notice, he looked like he was gonna say something.
2) and to the fact that he had something in his ear... doesn't almost everyone who goes on a big-time national tv thingie have to have something in their ear? AND a microphone?

... i dont think he cheated.
