wow i hope i'm not posting this in the wrong section or nothing; if i am; i apologize x 10

anyway in october's seventeen mag it features an article about this webcam girl who got stalked. Its pretty interesting:

It talks about paypal and stuff..how some guy kept sending her strange crap and called her. Her site was 5ilver.net, and she wrote something about the article and moved domains.

it's kind of scary don't you think? having someone do that to you? i actually read the article in the magazine and the dude like found out her address and stuff and was emailing her obscene pictures of him and such. he kept asking her to marry him and have babies together (a little psycho don't you think?) she was very popular but posed a lot for her webcam.. exposing her cleavage alot and stuff.

so everyone who has a website; be safe and cautious cause you never know who is really reading the things on your website

Ohhh I read that in Seventeen. That was so scary with the phone call =x But its kind of her fault, she sort of asked for it, by posting up those racey pictures of herself.

yeah i read that too! but you know what, i know what is right, and safe for me to do. i know i that im responsible for my actions. im aware of what i do and the consequences. that girl pretty much asked for the situation, don't get me wrong , i am sympathetic for her, but it is a shame that she did'nt realize what she was getting herself into.

yeah i agree with you on that one; she should have known to be more cautious and etc but still that must have been scary for her _unsure.gif

hopefully that guy went to jail or something. that's very sketchy. a bunch of you guys are like "oh she was just asking for it." but i mean, she is probably one of those girls who likes to get attention but it's not like she was asking for a stalker. anyhoo. yeah. that's creepy.

Um... so why couldn't she just stop talking to the guy and just get a new identity and new website or what not before it got so out of hand that he found out her address?

OMG that is really creepy.. reminds me that my friend recently found out that she had an online stalker, well more like someone who was pretending to be her... for the past 5 years! You can read all about it from her post on the 10th. http://www.xanga.com/home.aspx?user=rodellee She would take my friends pictures from xanga and then post it on her livejournal, pretending that they were her pictures. She even copied a lot of her journal entries! It was INSANE and pathetic!

honestly, i think she was just whining and complaining. She chose to post those pictures and allow people to send her gifts. So she got herself into it. mad.gif

she tried to; she like ignored all his emails and she just had a po box but he still found all of her info and called her; she even said that it sounded as if he was masturbating on the phone
