anyone else have a mini 4wd car? They are small cars that you build yourself, and you can customize the parts to make them go faster. I have two, but I can't find a race track! anyone know where to buy them? (i saw them on ebay, and they're expensive!)

if you don't want to contribute to the discussion, don't post.

I love playing mini 4wd when i was small
but when i grew up, i found that they are childish and threw them away
I never buy myself a race track, coz it's too expensive
so I usually go to toy shops to play coz they provide free tracks for kids to play....

oh! the janitor @ my church has one of those...

instead of buying your own, like lcsblogfool mentioned, you can go to places where they hold tracks. "Hobbytown USA" centers have indoor tracks, some of em even hold cash prize tournies.

I think the Mini 4WD cars are only popular in like... China & Japan... I haven't seen any kids playing with them in US... In US, kids play with real cars o.o ... although, the Mini 4WD cars are really cool! Mine was so buff, but then my engine died and I didnt want to spend another $40 on an engine, so I gave up and started to work on my real car. HAR HAR o.o whistling.gif

$40 for an engine? no way! The engine I bought was $6 and i think it goes at around 4800 rpm. But the best engine I have was from my uncle, which is 6800 rpm hehehehe.

I was crazy about 4wds when I was little. Adding little wheels here and there, customizing it, was pretty fun happy.gif

I think all I have now is my phantom blade. It's awesome though.

eh..No
I hate Auldey, they copy the ideas from the others
and they just change something to make it into theirs
like Mini 4wd and yo-yo.....and many
I used Tamiya......

Well actually if you think that Tamiya's engine are slow
why not try to remake them? My friend told me that he tried once to open the enigne and remake those coil inside, and it made his car very fast
but I wasn't brave enough to try.....I afraid I would have an electric shock....lol

yes.....for once
I think now kids in HK think that those are old-fashion

hehe, yeah, Auldey makes bootleg copies of Tamiya's products. I have a Tamiya car and one Auldey car.

Yeah, the fastest Tamiya engine is 4800 rpm, and the Academy engine that my uncle gave me is 6000+. But if your engine is too fast, it will fly off the track.

Actually, mini 4wd were around since the 1980's , so yeah, it probably is old news. But still, I think they are pretty cool.

I'm going to take pictures of my cars!
