eh theres not enough contrast in the image. also, i think it might look better if the blog stretched downwards, so the whole thing doesnt look so boxed in and small...

very unique. although I think you can make it look just a bit better, I find the solid black background outfitting for the rest of the site. Maybe a pale blue or a cool white.
