I will reiterate the fact that a good speaker doesn't make someone a good politician.
Herbert Walker Bush was one of the most intelligent people of his time...head of the CIA...etc etc. And he was also one of the not-so-good speakers of his time. Makes no difference. |

perhaps you're missing the point. we're talking about intelligence, not policies. maybe it's time to fix your front view mirrors as well.

QUOTE(kryogenix @ Oct 7 2004, 7:05 PM) obviously John Edwards doesn't. either that or he chose to ignore the rules. Wow. How are you a moderator when you can't even do something as simple as staying on topic? The topic is whether or not Bush cheated and you're sitting there talking about the VP debates. Right wing extremist, much? |

i think this thread is far beyond salvage.
and of course not, we can't expect paragons but we certainly don't want a fumbling mangler of words and lazy bum that we have in office right now. pingpong, that would only happen if the republicans just decided to die simultaneously. the american government has been well balanced until the bush administration and i think our government is swaying dangerously to the right. wayyy right, and thats just as scary if not scarier than communism. that post was retarded. edit: I'm just curious. did anyone else think the "W stands for Women" bush campaign poster was a joke at first? i know i did. |

Communism you say? Is that why Kerry plans a huge government takeover of healthcare, rather than capitalist private competition? How can you say right-wingers are communist in that sense? |

QUOTE(CrackedRearView @ Oct 14 2004, 3:36 PM) Communism you say? Yes, the current Republican foreign policy of neoconservatism, the use of force to spread a nation's ideals, was first developed and advocated by Leon Trotsky, the second in command to Vladimir Lenin during the Russian Revolution. |

Well, before you get any more pretentious with your unnecessary personal attacks, I'd point out that I scored a 1520 on my SAT I. Furthermore, whenever the word communism is slung about so carelessly, I enjoy pointing out the communistic aspects of the opposition. |
