Asking out, ways to ask? Options

there's always the 'i like you, you like me' thing that everyone assumes is a relationship where you don't have to say anything...

and then you could always be a man and actually say, "wanna go out with me?" or "wanna go to the movies with me?" or... "wanna be my girl?"

I have a probably of responding.. i mean when you are gonna say yes.
for example..

Boyy: Do you wanna go out with me?
Girl: Yes.

It sounds abit wierd to me.. like I dont know whether to say yes, sure, fine :P jalskksjaf

i asked my current girlfriend out online. her friends advised her to dcline if i did that, but accept if i asked her over the phone or in person. they prophesized that it would cause problems later on, but really, it doesnt matter. you could compare it to getting a car started. you can use the ignition or hotwire the thing. asking a girl out by saying to her face, in all your vulnerability and cautiousness, "would you go out with me" takes some balls. i know i certianly dont have them. at least to that extent. thats why i asked her online. it had a lot to do with that was how i was communicating with her at that instant and how i was feeling at that time, but i dont think i could have asked her in person. maybe over the phone. the point is, it really makes no difference. whatever gets the relationship rolling. once you jump that hurdle, its (theoretically smoothe sailing from there). but for what to say?
a) would you go out with me?
b) (my retarded way) wanna be a couple?
choice b worked because it fit in with the conversation. just do whatever gets the point across and doesnt sound too cliche. make sure it fits.
