I have a friend that I care for alot...He recently got dumped and now feels that his life has lost all meaning so all he does every weekend is goes out and gets high. He gets beat up, and drives around with random people... I think hes hooked on weed and DXM... I've tried talking to him about it before but I don't know what to do anymore, and I don't know if hanging out more often or what will help...

...Any advice?

You and your other friends should just kidnap and tie him on a chair and make him listen. Tell him his ex is a beachh and he should just find another girl

What is DMX? Weed? Does he drive while under influence? If not, no biggie.

DXM is something found in cough syrup but when its abused it results in hallucinations....No, he doesn't drive under the influence...He drives around with strangers.

tell him to wake up and move on. i think spending more time with him would help, at least he'll be with you and not out getting high.

^^ That's not true at all. Weed is actually worse than cigarettes, but that doesn't mean cigarettes aren't bad. _dry.gif

Anyways, talk to him and if he won't listen, tell adults and try finding a conseuler (did I spell that right?) for him. At first he might get mad, but trust me, it's worth it.

yeah i think you should hang out with him more because good influences and keeping him away from the source will help. plus just letting him know how much you care about him might make him realize his life does have meaning because he means something to you.

If he's taking drugs and such, there's a chance he'll take alcohol for the heck of it. That offers a chance of driving under influence. Which is deadly deadly. =( The drugs are bad, but I would be more worried if he started driving under any influence. I suggest an intervention, and have all his good friends attend. And continue hanging out with him. He needs the positive influence.

=) Have a nice day!!!
