i dink that you should give him time to cool down and get over his last relationship be4 u try to start nething cuz u dont want him to make a wrong decision during his rebound period which would ruin your long term friendship...

Take the chance... it won't affect your relationship if you don't let it. If you do happen to break up... you just have to call each other daily, say hi, and talk like best friends. If you shy off and LET the relationship go away... then who's to blame? Work hard to keep the relationship together if that's what you really want. I guarentee you that the relationship will be one you will cherish forever if you do.
