Nissan Skyline, Wat do u think? Options

i heard this guy stripped a skyline and shipped it piece by piece. u have to let it pass emissions, but once that's done, u can put all the jdm parts back on. skylines are too powerful to be in the US =) a g35c is also considered a skyline, but obviously it doesn't have the same engine. i raced one and we were dead even on the highway.

Bringing a Skyline to the US is a BAD idea, once you go through the trouble of getting it here you'll only have one day to celebrate before you wake up and hear it screeching off down your street with thieves laughing at you.

the skyline is overrated.. and it's only the gt-r and gt-s that is so great. they also make 4 door version that are considered family cars. and the new skyline IS the g35, and everything about the one we have here and the one in japan is exactly the same, they have the same engine. the only thing is, is that just because it's a skyline doesn't automatically make it the GT-R, which is the performance model of the skyline. that version hasn't been released yet, and when it is, it will have a whole new design.

anyways, as much as i love imports (own an s2000), i'd rather spend less and get a z06 which would be even faster and handle better for less money.

oh yeah.. and like everyone else said, it's not banned, it's just really EXPENSIVE to get it into the US on your own. it's WAAAAAAAAY better to do it through motorex or some other company that specializes in importing and legalizing automobiles

nah I knew bout the infiniti thing cuz I had already been on that site... but it's not exactly the same thing.. but yeah it's pretty much the same idea.. anyways.. I don't have the money to buy either one so I'll juss have to content myself with a hoopti in the meantime.. that and... i think driving on the right side instead of left has got to suck... I'm still in love with the S2000... and I don't care if people say it sucks.. IT DOESN'T!!

stock for stock, the z06 handles better. i can show you proof and show you how many G's it pulled on the road course, but i doubt you care =\

and if you took both of them to the track, the z06 would still pull better laptimes =]

ahhaha u gotta put some filters and stuff to lower the HP n then also muffle the extreme loud noise. my friend has one he imported from japan. its legal as long as u dun piss ppl off or if u make it american legal. i think tho... those parts cost no more than 1k to put on the car, thats nothin if u can buy a sky

I saw some Skylines before on a car importing site... they were like $70k - $80k to import here... ha... what a waste of money.. besides, they are like half that in Japan. Skylines are only for show here. I would rather get a Supra and with all that extra money... ahhh....

i`ve only seen one guy drive a skyline in the US .. like on the streets .. i don`t like skylines anymore though ... i`ve seen the offcial pics of trhe r35 .. it`s some uglee stuff

the skyline is illigel in the US because of its smog emissions. MotorEX makes them legal for you. My brother knows somebuddy with one and they are cRaZy @_@
