i was in fifth grade and i think my teacher was going over language or something and i don't remember how she found out but she turned on the tv and i remember the tv people said it might be a teroist(sp) attack and she yelled teroist and asked us what it meant and only one dude answered cause we didn't know. it was really cool cause later that year she gave ud news paper clippings and a letter telling us exactly what she was teaching and everything so we would remember.

I was in my 8th grade office class, running around getting the kids to their parents. My teacher was really calm about it, so I was like "Oh, it's not a big deal." >.< How wrong I was..."It's not a big deal" Dumb teacher.

i remember it so clearly. well, i was in 8th grade- in spanish class. we were doing some exercise when out of nowhere, the teacher goes "does anyone know someone who works in the world trade center?" no one did, and we were all confused why she said that. then, she says that the world trade centers were attacked. at first we thought it was fake- but then we had to go to homeroom. there. the teacher turned on the radio andwe listened to the news. everyone was so shocked. and, we were allowed to leave early. as i walked home, i passed this hospital, and there seemed to be a lot of ambulances around. Then, when i went home, every channel had the news- so we just watched in horror as we saw it replay over and over again.

I was in my Math class. We were putting on book sox and I was sitting by myself with a friend. We were called down to the church ( yes i used to go to privite school -_-) We got out early and when I got home, I went outside on my deck and there was smoke all in the sky, on a clear day you can see the empire state building from our deck. We tried to drive into the city, and on Route 80 on the way in .. you couldnt see the NY Skyline. Police had all entires blocked to the city for miles away from the city. When they had the twin lights we could also see them. The night of the attacks fighter jets flew over our house, one got so close it sounded like it was about hit our house. So yep, my story of 9 11.

i was in 6th grade and we were in homeroom. my social studies teacher came in and told us and we rushed to the auditorium to watch it on tv. it was horrible, all the teachers were crying and trying to contact people that were working in new york that day [cause it was in new jersey so lots of them knew people who were working there that day]

ugh people these days are all like whats so important about september 11th? that happened 3 years ago! its not like it affected you? not like your family member died there. 3 years and were still talking about it.

ignorant people.

my high school is in manhattan not too far from where the buildings were..i was in english class that day.. and a classmate of mine came in late and she was tellin everybody that one of the buildings was on fire..we were all confused.. we were in the 2nd floor so we couldnt look out the window to see it ourselves. alot of people on the 10th floor saw what happened. our principle made an announcement saying that there was a big accident and a while later he announced that the buildings fell..luckily someone i know didnt make it to work on time cuz he used to work in one of the buildings.. i managed to get out of school with some friends and the smell and smoke in the air was horrible..it smelled like gasoline and something else i dont even wanna think about..yuck..

a very hectic day. alot of the subway lines werent working and i didnt get home until like 11pm.

I was in 10th grade, right in the beginning of the day.

From my school we could see the buildings, and when I was finally able to go home I say the people all covered in dust and some with bandages.

There are times that I still dream about it... very few times and very random, but I still do. It was something that no one should ever forget.

I go to school in NYC. Mark Twain I.S.239. The morning suddenly got so much more chaotic but it was also deadly quiet. Teachers talked on the phone, "What crashed into the Twin Towers? Two?" Parents kept coming in every other minute and pulling their kids out. We didn't do anything for the whole day. I was in 7th grade. We stayed afterschool till 4... and went home and watched the news.

Now I go to Stuyvesant, which is like three blocks from Ground Zero. For the anniversary, they have a whole ceremony. Last year, I was a freshman and it was horrible listening to the little kids say their dedications. I'm glad school starts later this year, after 9/11, so I don't have to listen to them. It's just too sad. It's even sadder when a little girl or boy gives an update to their parent(s). "I've been a really good girl. I'm starting (some) grade soon. I miss you."

I just woke up ... I sleepily walked into my parents' room where the TV was on. My dad was like, Some buildings in New York fell." At that time i didn't kno it was a terrorist attack so i said, okay .. so?
And after I found out the truth, I was like, O_O for the rest of the day.
