Start doing your research kiddos...because it's A&F all the way. Please think before you write, you may only see attractive people there at hollister but it's not only that maybe its because they had background checks were bad and stuff like that....because i'm not all that pretty and i'm fat so why did they hire me?? eh?? someone please tell me that...

They are also liars see this http://www.komotv.com/stories/29493.htm but i dont know why you keep assuming that it's hollister...ok...but if anything is wrong and i'm wrong bout this give me the link that STATES that hollister is racist on hiring ok. thanks. but this is your info.

I think we are NOT saying HOLLISTER has a sexist or a racial dicrimination thing going on. What we are trying to say is, what we see "most" of the time is this general strain of super-babes or super-hunks working at this and that location. Yea, there may be one or two other than white females/males working there but its like out of maybe 20 employees.

Its like that SIMPSON's episode where Burns had nothing but male workers, so some law told Burns he needed to hire a female. He hired Marge, and that was it...

UGH...lemme clear this up...I work @ Hollister...I am Filipino...not short, not tall...but average...I'm not skinny, not fat...but I do work out a little...and I wear HOLLISTER clothes...

This is how I got the job: I was shopping w/ my girlfriend...and the manager asked me if I have a job...I said no...then she asked if I wanted one there...I said "sure"...so she gave me an application and I went to the group interview the following day...At the interview...all I had to do was be myself...the next day she called and I got the job...

Hollister is not racist...they hire people who are outgoing and fits the STYLE...it helps if your "attractive"...but thats not the MAIN CRITERIA...a couple of "attractive" people @ the interview DIDN'T get the job...and plus...most retailers dont hire people that DON'T fit they're style...you won't find "Preppy people"...working @ HOT TOPIC...so whats the big deal? Hope this helped people understand...and I hope it made sense...lol

btw...4 asains work @ my Hollister...2 african americans and 1 hispanic...I didn't wanna have to share that info...but if it helps...

one question for you: do you consider yourself as a nice-looking girl? happy.gif

cause i dont think they'd hire a fat, ugly, pimplely face girl who actually applies for the job... i think they'd pick you over her even if she has had more experience..?

correct me if im wrong.!

why are you people taking things from just YOUR hollister and abercrombie in town? Who CARES if they weren't white but let me ask you something, were they GOOD LOOKING... that's what this is about.... if they don't hire you because you aren't white... then that's discriminating... but as for the good looking idea... there is no law saying anything about THAT being discriminating.... so they can hire whoever they want just as long as they aren't discriminating... I actually like hollister and abercrombie but i'm too poor... and here, the people actually greet you and say 'oh if you need help then just ask me' and i'm like "sure"... I'm NOT white... and I'm not "preppy"... sure, I do like they're clothes but who says you have to be of one specific social group to shop there? I like variety. And the same thing goes for Hot Topic... I will walk in there and buy a band shirt while I'm sitting there wearing a miniskirt and an american eagle shirt...
So, no, they aren't stuck up here and they're not all white but they ARE all good looking... and the employees are not racist here and they aren't rude... but maybe that's because of the southern hospitality... and the employers are not discriminative... so i don't see what the problem is... so what if they don't hire you because you are ugly, if you really cared about the job then go buy a new face...
Plus, say... I were shopping somewhere that had both good looking and ugly people... i WOULD ask the good looking person for help... and not the ugly person... sure, that's selective... but what i'm trying to say is that the good looking person attracts more people... more customers are helped because the person who is attending them is good looking and such... Does anyone understand this? ANYONE?
