I personally love Nintendo...
Because they have THE BEST tact games...
^_^u But I use my beloved PS2 to play my other games...
The GameCube is actually my brother's...
I think I play the Xbox the most tho...
I like DOA X-treme Beach Vollyball.
(Yes, my parents actually let me play that... Mostly because I'm a girl anyways...)

nintendo better not be like sega! heck no. segas good and all with many classic games.. [sonic fan right here!] and nintendo has classic games. its really the last system out there that can still pull out old school games.. and make them new.. [personally i think putting old school games into new school systems is a bad idea, except NINTENDO] ill put money on nintendo anyday. :)

nintendo has no future because they refuse to open up new avenues instead they stick for old titles..dont get me wrong those titles do great but after like 8/9 years u eventually have to look other places and nintendo has not..a kiddy product will not survive in todays age.. and thats the stereotype that nintendo has not really tried to dispute..so unless they revamp the message they put out they will fall sooner or later

They don't need to dispute the kiddy rep. There are plenty of non-"kiddy" games on nintendo consoles. Plus,

Yeah. You can't call that kiddy.

As for the same titles over and over again, what about square? How many final fantasy's have they made?

Nintendo has nowhere to go but up. With the AMAZING sales over holidays last year due to the price drop, and the steady control of the handheld market. The PSP is a media driven device, hardly for gaming, and wont impace the handheld market hardly at all (Granted, more than the Ngage, but mediocre nonetheless ^.^). The DS will be amazing, and Nintendo still has its legendarily best selling games such as Zelda, Mario, Starfox, and Metroid.

The PS2 has good RPGs, but Square is slowly coming back to its roots, and without them, Sony has very little to compete with.

The Xbox has Halo, which sucks, and has been LOSING money for Microsoft the entire times its been out.

How can anyone compete with Nintendo? This juggernaut has been around since the 14th century, starting with a card game and blossomed into what it is today. Nintendo has revolutionized and reinvented gaming over and over and over. Anyone who argues with that, can read a history book.

Oh, and check the sig.

Whoa! 14th century? I only knew of its existence since the 1800s.

it seems to me that most people keep on forgetting that nintendo's business is worldwide and not just in the US. Yeah, GC is owning the XBOX in the asian countries, cause the Japs know better. Nintendo will NOT stagger. People go on saying that Nintendo's status will be a downfall because they lost money, when they don't forget to mention that Microsoft also lost $$ from the X-Box.

It should be clear to everyone that Nintendo is winning not only in the handheld area, but also game consoles in general.

Like it says on that nintendo status page...they're A-OK.

i dont think that will happen. nintendo makes all the handheld systems while microsoft and sega don't. so it seems nintendo is still in business as long as they have a new handheld [or a new game console] to keep up with ps3 and xb2.

Very true. The sales of the GBA and SP rival that of the PS2 which is the top selling hardware in consoles.

See, Nintendo sticks to its roots, thats how it gets the real gamers in. They have spawned classic games, created genres, and started eras. Something as little as Halo coming out makes people forget where gaming started.

As far as Im concerned, gaming begins with 'N', and ends with 'O'.

There's no way that Nintendo will just keel over an die. They merely appeal to a different market segment than Sony and Microsoft. Plus with the Nintendo DS, it is in direct competition with the Sony PSP which means that it will prevent Sony from gaining that much of the market segment early one. (I'm talking direct competition as in age of people being targeted) Sony PSP looks good on paper, but how will it be in reality. Once people realize they are getting ripped off buying propritary movies and music they'll have second thoughts. Only people with money to burn will continue to buy movies and music to play on their PSP's or they will slow down their buying which will hurt Sony slightly. Even if the next Nintendo system can't compete with PS3 and Xbox2 performancewise, it doesn't matter becaues their market segment is different and it's all about the games. It doesn't matter if your graphics are slightly off, I mean you didn't see everyone just ditch their PS2 in favor of Xbox when it came out. Plus there's the issue of Pricing. Nintendo's products have usually been priced lower than Microsoft and Sony, hence creating more competetion. With more competition, it's will probably hurt all three companies a bit, but ultimatly mean profit for us consumers as better games and products come to market.
