Haha.. that is the most closed minded thing I heard. They wouldn't care. Its proven.

We should be a Government seperated from religion. The religious right is screwing america. Religion is close mindedness.

Uh... more like I've said homosexuals + Sex= HIGHER RISK of getting AIDS. DO you know how to read? I think I probably said "higher risk" more than once now, but it's enough to prove that I said "HIGHER RISK" , don't you think?

Please, if you're going to make assumptions about what I said or even try to prove me wrong, do a better job of READING. rolleyes.gif

Wrong, read some reports. Its actually straight couples who have a higher rate of aids.

Men and women who enjoy anal sex (or are subjected to anal sex) are at highest risk for HIV as the walls of the anus and rectum are thin and there often is bleeding during anal sex.

So, where's yours? whistling.gif

Women do nott have to have anal/oral sex, but it seems the only way to go about it for homsexuals.

I do realize that there are, perhaps, more heterosexuals who have Aids than homosexuals, but homosexuals are in the highest risk group (along with drug users)...

The last time I checked... women can be homosexual... more specifically: lesbian. So, Duh, yes women can have oral and anal sex.

The point being, children, aside from anal and oral sex, there's no other way for homosexuals to have... sex. Thus, this makes them more at risk for Aids.

I think I've made it clear enough now.

As for sources, one from India, is better than none, right? Are you trying to discredit this source?

If you want a "better" source, I will provide one as soon as I get back from work. Thanks.

Homosexuals can have other forums of sex. Mutual masturbation for one, many others too, though I doubt you know much about that.

huh.gif Don't know much about what? Sex? happy.gif Because of the way you answered me (about women and oral/anal sex), I wonder if you underestimate my knowledge... But to keep this form pg 13, I'll not get into the details, so you can say whatever you want. But at least keep in mind that I'll be turning 20 soon, and I don't think there are too many 20 years old who are clueless about what sex is and how to go about it. Well, if there are, I'm just not one of them.

But you still haven't given me any sources that say otherwise about homosexuals and Aids happy.gif.

here

and here

QUOTE
Approximately 87% of sufferers are homosexual or bisexual men who have caught the disease through anal intercourse. 7% are people who have received contaminated blood in blood transfusions.4% are drug addicts where the infection is due to the use of shared , contaminated needles.1% are people with hemophilia who received the contaminated blood extract called Factor 8.Less than 1% are heterosexual people who have caught the disease from persons infected with the AIDS related virus.

Go ahead and try to discredit those sources... rolleyes.gif

I said "Here are my sources................. Where's yours?" I think about 6 posts ago.

What I am trying to prove? That homosexuals have higher risk of getting Aids, and I think I've provided statistics almost universally now and they all say the same...

The questions is what are YOU trying to prove? That I'm wrong? I'm not so arrogant as to say I'm right in the matter, but I don't see how you can argue against statistics and info from different countries...

i honestly don't see what the fuss is all about with gay marriages. i personally have nothing against it. i know plenty of gay people and i am totally okay with homosexuality, as well as bi and hetero. if two people love each other and want to join in marriage, who are others to say no they can't just because they're both male/female? i don't see the sense in that.

thats my 2 cents input.

My whole stand on it is this: No matter what a person's sexual preferance is, if they are in a meaningful relationship they should be able to have the option to get married. There are partners out there who have been together for a long time, yet can't make important decisions for each other or even have the same rights as a heteroseual married couple. Some of these people have been together longer than most marriages last. It's their perrogative... what should it matter to anybody else? I say if they want to do it... let them.

Actually, I think it's legal in Canada. Not too sure though.

On the topic - why not let people be happy? Will it kill you? I don't think so.. If you're in love, imagine not being able to marry him/her because society says it's wrong. How would you feel?

Gay marriage should not be illegal. It is not MINE or ANYONE ELSE'S business who is getting married to whom. We have absolutely no right telling people who they can and cannot be with.

I think it bothers people because they are letting it bother them.

I don't care if homosexuality is a sin in the Bible. Slavery was in the Bible too, and we don't think that's alright now..

The only basis for banning gay marriage that I can think of is religious reasons. I don't think that laws should be passed based on any religious beliefs. What ever happened to keeping church and state separate?

And, yes, Spirited Away, people have the right to think, but cthroughange is probably mad about people caring so much that there is now a law against gay marriage. There is a fine line between having an opinion about something and outlawing it.

I agree that. Just because a a majority of Politicians are Christian and since Christianity is a major religion in today's world, people are basing government laws on religious laws. mad.gif They even forgot that not everyone is a Christian mad.gif mad.gif mad.gif .

If the child was brought up in a household where he/she has gay parents then they'd be taught and shown that it's fine to be gay.

Exactly. It's fine to have a religious president (since I'm pretty sure every president we've had was or is religious) but when he openly expresses his religion by saying "God bless blah blah blah" every time he makes a speech or passes laws based on his religion then it's wrong. There's supposed to be a seperation and certain people (especially politicians) need to follow this law.

You dont choose whether or not you want to be gay. You're born that way. People dont wake up one day and decide 'Oh gee. I think I'll be gay for the rest of my life cause it sounds like oodles of fun'. The government and people shouldnt be allowed to tell them that their way of life is wrong or that they're "disgusting". If two people love each other then they love each other. End of story. We need to stop butting into other people's lifes.

Not exactly true. A decent amount of our presidents were deists or irreligious.
Abraham Lincoln, Thomas Jefferson, John Adams, George Washington, James Madison, James Monroe, John Tyler.

Just to chime in and clear that up a bit.

Thanks for clearing it up happy.gif . I didnt have time to go see if there were any non-religious presidents.

Come on! Of course gay people should be able to get married. I mean, why shouldn't they? Because it's weird? Because God doesn't want you to? Then fine, but make that decision for yourself, not others! LIVE AND FREAKING LET LIVE!

I would rather marry someone I love of the same gender then someone I don't of the opposite. Wouldn't that be gods first choice too? mad.gif It should be.

(Straight.)
