ok...my friend has lived with her aunt for 3 years now because her and her mom dont get along at all...well now her mom is in the hospital with cancer and she had a heart attack....my friend has been really depressed and has been saying im the only one she can talk 2...and sometimes i just dont know what to say 2 her...what are some things i can say to make her feel better?? ive said everything i can think of and when i freeze up whenever she says something 2 me i feel bad..like that im not being a good enuff friend.

Listen to what she has to say. Advise her and tell her that she should visit her mom even tho they dont get along.. this isnt the time to see if they get along or not... its a life threatening situation. good luck and tell her she should feel better and not too sad cuz if shes sad, it wouldnt help her mom and the situation

during a time like this.. it's kinda hard to take in like jus comforting words... cause maybe her aunt and other ppl says it as well.. try to get her to open up to you.. and tell you ur problems cuz that would make her feel better.. letting some of it out instead of taking it on all by herself.. also dont feel that you are a bad friend for running out of comforting words to say.. as long as u try and u are there to support her through this bad time you are being a good friend..
